Win MS Points for Playing Halo 4.

Summary for those who don’t want to read the details: Contest/Giveaway, Starts Now, Ends on April 14th, Add “Rathamus2” on XBOX Live, Play in my games, collect 4000 MS Points and have fun doing it.

It’s that time again. New game, new xbox live people to meet and play with, new competitive groups to put together, and new opportunities to give away some MS Points, just for doing what you do best.

Greetings, I am Rathamus. I would give you some background on who I am as a gamer but that isn’t why you clicked this post. You clicked it because you are interested in seeing what scam or malicious act I am trying to pull off here. Believe it or not, there are some good people out there with good intentions. Every now and then I take a break from real life, assemble some kick -Yoink- players, and reward their skill and epic moments.

I have done this for Halo 3, Halo: Reach, and Black Ops, giving away MS Points at the end of every 2 or 4 week sessions to those who participated in my games. I now seek to repeat for Halo 4. Why do I do this? Firstly because I am passionate about playing an online multiplayer game for the experience of meeting other players. Secondly, because I am a very giving individual. Lastly, it is an efficient way to meet and play with great players whom share in a winning mentality (in both skill and personality) in a short amount of time.

How does this work? Easy.

Add “Rathamus2” on XBOX Live, hit me up with a message and when there is room in a group, I’ll get you in. Every game you play and win in my group, your score will be tracked and tallied for the duration of the contest (generally 2 weeks or 4 weeks depending on my availability). Your cumulative scores earn you entries into a drawing for a/the particular prize. The higher your score at the end of the contest, the more entries you will have, and the higher your chances are of scoring some sweet prizes. The reason it is random is to give everyone a chance to win, but those who are more frequently present in games and performed best will have higher odds of winning. The winner(s) will be contacted within 48 hours on XBOX Live and a redeemable code will be delivered via a message.

Is this legit? Honestly, it won’t really matter if you close your mind to the opportunity. What have you got to lose? I certainly took some time to write this better than what you would find from someone who doesn’t care. You can probably find some older posts on Google if you want to sift through for the previous contests, who won, and what was given away. To give this some credibility, I am renown in World of Warcraft mostly as “Rathamus”. I own the World of Warcraft Public Vent (the largest ventrilo server on the planet) and done a LOT of things for the gaming community there. (Google will find you plenty about what I do). I have been interviewed and mentioned on multiple gaming websites such as Joystiq.com, MMO-Champion.com, gamebreaker.tv, and numerous podcasts and blogging sites. I am quite serious about my offers/contests and I have built a reputation online as a guy you can trust to deliver.

So what is being given away this round? 4000 MS Points are on the line here. I have not yet decided to do split this up between four players or the whole enchilada to one skilled and lucky player. This contest starts as soon as this posts to the forums here and will conclude in 2 weeks on April 14th at Midnight (CST).

Due to the open hostility and socially acceptable trolling that takes place on forums in general, I will not be revisiting this post.

If you have questions, you may contact me on XBOX Live. I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have there. See you online and good luck!

TIPS AND NOTES:
Everyone has a chance to win.
The more games you play, the higher your odds are of winning.
The better the player you are, the higher priority you will have to get into games.
Having a negative attitude in the games (raging, trolling) will impact your desirability to get reinvited.
Remember, we are here to have fun; because if you’re not having fun, what’s the point?

With so few actually participating at this time, you can take advantage of this to rack up some serious points and thus tipping the odds in your favor to net some serious swag.
Don’t be discouraged if you feel you are too far behind to begin! Many people catch up in a single day of banging out games. Remember, just because a person has the most points doesn’t mean they are automatically going to win! It simply means that they have greater odds of winning over someone else.
