Win 17 games is BS

I mean you’ll go through streaks like everyone else, but 6-19 in your last 25 is pretty bad. The behind the scenes mmr/csr/whatever they call it should be putting you around 50/50 w/l always. You’re probably playing BTB as that’s more out of your control if your at the top of the leader board and like all the previous halo games - people just farm kills in BTB. Play arena or quick battle, I prefer arena to avoid join in progress where my team is down 24-10.

There is still skill matching in social, it’s just less tight than in ranked.

Funny the people i play with really suck compared to me at least as far as i can see

I’d rather have “Win 17 Games” than “Win 3 Slayer Games” or “Win 3 Oddball Games” — because when I have those challenges I can go 15+ games without even getting the f’ing gametype!

and here I am almosty lvl 50 on my battleepass I used my double xp Wisely I didn’t buy any lvls or anything like that I just played the game casually over a few hours every day like 5 hours a day if that whilst prioritising challenges with the double xp

30 games? Jeez… I wish…

Match making just refuses to put me on a winning team, regardless of how well I do.

I’m not saying you aren’t carrying the game, but sometimes just having a decent k/d isn’t the best way to secure the win for the team. Sometimes the best thing you can do is control the game for your team. The win requires you to adapt outside your meta, you might like holding down a certain area or playing in a certain way but sometimes you got to protect your teammates who are struggling or neutering the better players. I never used to do it, but I’m a proper dirty work player now.

My key focus in games is to always put the best player on the enemy team in my pocket and control the flow of the game as much as I can. Locking down certain parts of the map, holding off certain players or making sure the team can secure or contest the power weapons. Usually play solo and have a 60%+ win ratio in most games I play.

Wait… This is like, a perfect challenge. Is this the weekly ultimate?

The challenge is straightforward, can be completed in any playlist regardless of gametype, and it literally requires that you play your best without needing you to do something stupid like getting kills with a specific weapon, which would hurt your team.

If this challenge rubs you the wrong way then, honestly I don’t know what to tell you. Seems like you just want to complain for complaining’s sake.

I’m not saying I do carry the game. I’m okay at best, and I have my ups and downs like anyone else. That’s not what I mean.

I mean it sure seems like the vast majority of my games, I’m matched up against players who I can only assume are in parties, based of their movement and teamwork. Meanwhile, I get put on teams with what I can only assume are solos. Now, I mostly solo, so I can’t exactly talk, there. But I at least know that moving as a group and playing towards the objective. Seems like most of the people I’m teamed up with all go off in different directions and do their own thing, or just idle until they time out. This is across all playlists.

And frankly, this is quickly becoming my biggest issue with Infinite. I have no problem admitting that I have no business being Platinum II. And that regularly matches me up with players I have no problem admitting are better than I am. I want to play with and against people at my skill level, so I feel like I have an honest chance of winning a damn game more than 10 percent of the time. I know I’m, by far, not the only one having issues with this. SBMM needs a rework, and party based matchmaking needs to make a return. Hell, in Reach, you could see exactly what the team make ups were. What happened to that?

I gave up on clearing this week’s challenges. The reward is not worth all the grind.
I’ve ran out of challenge swaps and I don’t think I’ll manage to clear a challenge of killing 15 enemies with the Ghost cannons. It could be worse, could be the damn Gungoose, but nonetheless that’s luck based. I don’t want to stress me out struggling to find Ghosts in BTB.

Not gonna lie that sounds like a pretty good challenge, just a time consuming one. I guess if you can’t play much this is a bad challenge

The way the system works is if you do face a party their skill level combined is lower than your teams, where as Vs solo players it’s usually more evenly matched.

I get quite excited playing a full party, usually means I’m better than every player on their team ha.

Can imagine Platinum games are frustrating. It’s less people not playing the objective and more people not understanding how to play the objective as a team.

I find that using my headset helps a lot even if I’m the only one calling out. I’ll call out enemy positions but generally give the team some direction if I think they need it like, “2 dead let’s push up”, “slow it down guys”, “rockets up soon I’ll watch if you grab them GAMERTAG”. I think people don’t mind most the time as people are silent and then thank me at the end, some join in and others send messages after the game.

My exact thoughts. Plus the OP finished 20 weekly challenges in Two days. Winning 17 games will come naturally by just playing.

Like the OP I am also working on this challenge. Currently at 6/17. No rush.

This is also how I feel about the 3 customization unlocks we have gotten so far. The best rewards out of the ultimate have been the XP.

Imagine playing a Multiplayer Shooter and winning. Never heard of such a crazy idea… Don’t we just boot up the game to look at the shop and scream? /s

  • Even if everyone is shy, making callouts helps the team usually.
(Some communication is always better than no communication -or- when your mic input is set wrong so you’ve been talking to yourself all evening )
  • Playing with friends helps, but there is the Halo discord where you can LFG with people who play a lot.
  • “Be aggressive, be be aggressive!”
  • Try ranked, although casual can be more sweaty, I hear more mic chatter in ranked.
(People at least are in the mood, lit candles, grabbed a Mtn Dew and Doritos, and other Halo stuff like that)

If you don’t have a team to go in with, it’s really terrible.

I feel the reward should have been either a free battle pass or a free armor piece of our choice.

Yeah the reward was kinda sucky for it i probably will never use it.

Damn this post doing numbers XD i was frustrated when i made this post so i was going through a huge loss streak that was just infuriating but i luckily went through a win streak and passed it in a day. I just wish that it was for personal performance because having most captures or kills or just trying your best and losing for 20 games in a row it just infuriated me. I apologize for my salt.

To be fair it’s the one challenge I did like, because it actually promotes the simple action of WINNING unlike every other challenge and at times even the ranking system.
