Willow Tea Armor Coating?

I just want to know why is this armor coating back in the ultimate challenge reward? Have they run out of freebie so now it will be a rotation of old reward coming back? Do we gain something from getting the reward a second time? Would have been nice to get a few credits, even if it’s no more then 100, it would reward long time and loyal players. I felt compelled to play every week to unlock those weekly reward, even if some were boring, but now, there is absolutely nothing more to gain, so of course I will reduce the time I spend on the game, and I’ll feel my skill dropping, and I’ll start having bad times and just end up quitting the whole ship.

Anyone have information about those weekly rewards and why is this week a rotation of a previous one?

  1. They are probably a bit stretched thin for Season 2 content. They need Season 3 to be solid so really don’t want to bring that forward. So easier to repeat a few things.

  2. To stop people being driven crazy by FOMO. See - you can relax now - things do come back. And in the very next season!

This is kind of a you problem.

If all you are playing for is a small token that you probably won’t even use - then you probably need to be doing something else.

Previous Halo games had something to grind for, every match you played gave you a small feeling of progressing toward a goal, unlocking a level, unlocking new cosmetic, etc. Now it just feels empty. I like grinding for stuff in life, especially when the grinding is fun. Makes the fun x2. Makes me want to play a lot more. If I gain absolutely nothing from playing, I will feel like I am wasting my time and I’ll want to play or do something else; Like you said ‘‘then you probably need to be doing something else.’’. This is counter productive for 343, as I am certainly not the only one who feels the same about this whole situation. Going by your logic, all those people who like to grind stuff should just leave Halo Infinite and do something else… Nice way to reduce the player base.

No. By all means, grind away.

There are many reason to play Halo.

But the key is that you need to enjoy what you are actually doing.

If it’s not enough to sustain you through a few repeated weekly rewards - I would be seriously questioning how much you are actually enjoying it.

The answer to your question is here:

As we’re looking to address a lot of the community feedback we’ve received around Challenges and we’re shifting the philosophy, the Winter Update’s Ultimate Rewards will feature the most popular Ultimate Rewards from Seasons 1 and 2 to help players get another chance to earn them in case they missed them last time.

This actually makes me happy for players who missed it. I know some people who dislike this because it makes the exclusivity not so exclusive anymore. As long as it doesn’t become available in the store, I’m fine with 2nd chances and 3rd chances and even more, we can’t always be available every week of our lives to grind those.

I play Halo for the fun of it, the same way I play Fall Guys for the fun, but in Fall Guys, we much prefer to play thursday night when it is the weekly reset so we have more things to grind and win while having our weekly fun. I wouldn’t play every week if there wasn’t new stuff to grind for, and maybe we would all slowly stop playing after a while, and hoping back on it from time to time. I’m an achievement hunter here, what I mean is that everything seems more fun and enjoyable to me when I have something to gain in the end. Doesn’t mean the game is boring without it, just that it doubles the fun to work on a goal, so I am more compelled to play if the fun is doubled.
