to all you “pro sprint” players out there. you support sprint and tell us “non-sprinters” to move on or halo needs to evolve, which seems to imply that you would not support a game you love for that long…
I understand 15 years is a really long time to support a game. As a kid, I played Super Mario Bros on Nes and to this day I still love that game; I also had the same love for the 15 year old original halo. Unfortunately, halo5 made changes that doesn’t feel like the halo I know imo.
See you all in 2030!
If the servers last that long, yes.
Intresting… I wonder this myself…
As a “pro sprint” player, I will always enjoy the original Halo:CE multiplayer. It was one of, if not the, best shooter I have ever played. That said, yes, Halo as a series must change and evolve. As I have stated in numerous similar posts, if 343i or Bungie or whichever company takes on Halo decides to recycle and re-sell the same game with the exact same formula, then consumers will not return. The game would become very stale and quite frankly unappreciated. The fact that so many people loved Halo:CE’s gameplay was because it stood out from the rest of the shooters of the time. To clarify, the Mona Lisa is a one-of-a-kind art piece, but had Leonardo da Vinci created dozens and dozens of them then the value is lost. If you loved previous Halo installments, great, go play them, no one is stopping you from that enjoyment. I, myself, still jump back in for a game of Halo:CE with friends regularly, but I can also appreciate what 343i is trying to do with Halo 5. Though in the end, you can’t please everyone all the time.
Sorry to see you go OP, hopefully you’ll come back to Halo at some point. Have fun with your other games
