Given that the releases of both PS4 and Xbox One are drawing near, I’m getting sort of worried that I won’t be able to finish a lot of stuff in games for the 360 before the inevitable mass evacuation of players ensues.
Depending on your definition, I’m sort of an achievement hunter and I still got loads of multiplayer oriented achievements to unlock. Not just for Halo games, but other 360 games in general. I’m worried that those particular achievements will become unattainable if there’s not enough people still playing 360.
One might argue that I should have started working on this earlier. But between 2007-2010 I was knee-deep in university studies and I only had time to play sporadically during the semesters.
Therefore, my question is simply: Do you think you will still be playing 360 games throughout 2014?
I know this might be very hard to predict, and I’m also aware that once the new systems will have enough killer apps the appeal of playing 360 will most likely disintegrate. Still, I’m curious as to whether there are others out there who do not consider themselves “done” with Xbox 360 for one reason or another.
Yes, I will play my 360 till the end of 2014.
Why? Because the X1 will most likely have some technical issues in the first few months, and until those get sorted out, I can build up my funds to buy a new console, some more membership time, and a few games.
Yes, I will have my 360 for as long as it continues to run. I will be picking up an X1 at some point, but my 360 will stay with me. I’ve invested a lot of time and money in it, so I’m not just going to dump it for the shiny new one Still got quite a few achievements for games to get myself
Unless I land a well paying job within the next few weeks, and get paid close to $500 a pay check, I don’t see myself getting the Xbox One this year, I might get lucky and have some spending money after I get my tax returns, but I’ll most likely only get it if a good percentage of my friends get it. I see no reason to get a nice Xbox One if all of my friends are going to jump ship and get the PS4, and since very few of my friends are PC gamers, I’m SOL because I really dislike PlayStation’s controls, and will not get it because of past issues with the PS3, and Sony.
But for the most part, I will keep a hold of my Xbox 360, and since the good people at Microsoft says you can be logged on both your Xbox 360 and One at the same time, I will keep using my Xbox 360 until it’s no longer useable.
Plus until Razer releases a controller for Xbox 360 that feels and acts like the Saber Tooth, I don’t think I’ll play Xbox One that much.
As others have said I will probably wait to see what the reviews from others are having to say about it. Most likely buy it when halo comes out. So yeah, playing 360 til then.
I will be playing the 360 every now and then. Lately, I’ve been too preoccupied my 3DS to play the 360 as much as I used to. That Virtual Console has too many nostalgic games.
I’m planing to stay with the 360 for a while. I not going to get an Xbox One until the Halo 5 edition if that comes out. For the most part I not buy new tech on one day due to the possible major bugs or problems that it might have. coughRed ring of deathcough
The announcement, details and handling of the Xbox 3 did nothing but push me away. Top that with the fact that the first year of a new console is full of bugs and no games, I won’t even be thinking about a new console for a whole year.
Also, I have a huge backlog of games on multiple systems that still require plenty of time and love.
Yeah, I have countless game for it, and when I beat a game I don’t just leave it in the dust, so I’ll probably never stop playing my 360 since there isn’t backwards compatibility.
> Also, I have a huge backlog of games on multiple systems that still require plenty of time and love.
Dude, Neo, I’m in the same boat as you, I’ve been missing out on so many PC games, that I need to catch up, plus Star Trek Online is adding another featured episode this next weekend, and it’s adding a new race that’s only been seen in Star Trek Voyager, and I’m still working on leveling up a character or two, so I have some work there.
Needless to say, I’ll have some time to spend on the PC, not the Xbox One.

You took the words right out of my mouth, lol. I’m also doing it, b/c I rather wait a few months to hear the reviews and make sure no bugs are affecting the console, IF there any. Once I see good reviews, then I’ll think about getting it.
BTW, I haven’'t really paid very close attention, which is really not me, but do our accounts transfer over…or do we need to create another account from scratch?

Our accounts can carry over, heck they even said we can be logged on both the 360 and the X1 at the same time.
