I am not rushing for experience and I’m already on SR55 in what… 2 weeks? I’ve seen that some people are already on SR108. I guess the exp, the progressing system is what keeps the game alive. Are you still going to play Halo 4 even not getting exp when you reach SR130?
I’m asking this not because I want to get SR130 asap, I really loved the game and I enjoy every second playing it, but the levels just keep coming too fast and soon I’ll be level max and has nothing else to do
I will be because I play to have fun as I always have. I’m not one of the constant 1-50 demanders, but that’s another benefit to 1-50. It was a contant challenge to get, in each playlist, and it kept you going much longer than most XP progression systems.

That’s a good point actually. Many games seem to be doing that these days. Gears 3 did it (added what, 300 additional levels?), and MW 3 added 10 more Prestige levels. I would be surprised to see Halo 4 get more, probably up to something even like SR200 or something.

But CoD and Gears was easier to add levels, they just had to create a new emblem and its done. Halo 4 has the specialization things that makes impossible just “add more levels”, if they have to add more levels they will need to create more specializations, and I dont think they will do that
My answer is kind of both yes and the 3rd option. Once I hit 130 and I will keep playing, because there is still other things I will most likely have left to unlock. And I just plain enjoy the game, it’s the only shooter other than TF2 that I love to come back to all the time for more.
EDIT: Also I have a 2nd account I plan to play with as well so I can level up again at my own pace as well.
Yes, I will definitely continue to play. I’m hoping they will iron out some bugs and balance the game more, but if they continue to add content such as spartan ops, a ranking system, more rotational playlists and maps etc, will definitely be worth coming back to.
Of course I’m still going to play. I kept playing Halo 3 after unlocking everything. I gave up on trying to reach 50 after a while (the highest I could get was 46) but I kept playing. There was no reason to stop playing. I was still having fun. More so after I chose to leave the Ranked playlists behind (Social FTW).
In Halo 4, I just want to rank up so I can get all of the spcializations, weapon skins, and unique armor. Then it’s all about playing for fun, just like the last two games. Of course, I would have more fun if they would:
1. Bring back Rumble Pit and Big Team Battle. 2. Buff vehicles to return them to their Halo 3 efficiency. 3. Improved Custom Game options. 4. Bring back Mark V, CQB, and ODST armors.

thats not true though. after 130 or after the specializations are done they could just return to the regular EXP system. they dont need to add more specializations at all.
