There seems to be some issues with the LE and H4 Console exclusives and an anger about the nature of gaming and this trending thought of placing price tiers in games by with holding content for only the highest bidder. On one hand you have a segment of traditional gamers who believe that games should allow everyone to access all content. In fairness they believe they paid for the game and everything within the disc and should be equally granted the ability to unlock that content as they progress throughout the game.
Now on the other hand you have a class of players willing to pay the extra money to access content that will separate them from the rest of the herd ie LE and Console perks and what nots. Who could blame the developers from not wanting to tap into that market, while nurturing it into a significant revenue resource? I can’t, it makes sense since this is a capitalistic environment and businesses have to meet stock holder demands for growth and shares and stocks increasing in value any way they can.
So traditional gamers I’m afraid the gene is out of the bottle. You’re going to see digital content fomenting a type of class warfare in next gen games. Those who are willing to pay extra will be given the advantage, while the rest of us will just have to muddle on through. To be fair though, some studios still employ the slow grinding template to unlock items while offering a free-to-play format balancing out the sense of opportunity between those who play it cheap and those who are willing to spend the money to access it earlier.
So the question regarding Halo 4 is will you make it a point to completely and utterly destroy any FOTUS player you come across because you cannot access this armor? Will you betray them, will you hunt them in packs while making them suffer in any game type? Will it even matter to you? How will you treat FOTUS players?
My personal answer is I’ll treat them as any other Halo gamer, but deep down I know there’s this part of me that wants to make it a point to try to kill them as much as possible in BTB. I’m not a team betrayer, but I don’t think I’ll be lifting much of a hand to help them in Multiplayer or Spartan Ops and this sorta fascinates and troubles me at the same time.
Petty, jealous, and spiteful? Sure, but in all honesty it’s not them I’m angry with. I believe it’s just the disparity of the political climate and a economic roller coaster played out over a stream of constant class warfare being televised 24/7 and this personal anger over Halo being perceived into falling into line with this weird trend established to create classes out of gamers by disadvantaging the poorer player by either advantages in weapons or simply cosmetic perks.
So your thoughts. Be honest, will you specialize in targeting FOTUS players? And what’s your reasoning for… or not to?
If you are a FOTUS player… do you think you will be singled out due to this exclusivity ?
I doubt a vast majority of players will notice what their teammates or foes armor will even look like. The last thing I think of while getting shot at is what was my opponent wearing?
> Only an idiot would do something like that, any person that goes around acting like an immature -Yoink!- needs to get kicked out of the halo community.
You know full well the community is full of idiots, ragers, and a host of other trolling mindsets. This post is meant to bring to light a certain observable reaction that took place in Reach with Inheritors that might trend with FOTUS players. Every early inheritor was scrutinized to insane degrees by the community at large. With FOTUS as an exclusive armor that can only be unlocked by monetary means it begs the question will the community target these players?
EDIT:
For the record im spending $83 out of my pocket and im getting the limited edition console, and the LE game. aka less that you will spend on the standard edition and map pack so i think ill target you for spending more money.
You dont think I deserve special armor for pushing out $350.00 on a new Xbox I need? Ive had my Xbox for 4 years, and am in need of a new one. So im going to be treated differently than SE and LE owners because im spending 3 times more? That’s logical, right?
While I am getting both LE and the Console I have a felling that fotus will be treated like recon online most will ask how to get it or just not care. The ones who will hunt people down mainly will be the ones bragging about fotus, which in all honestly deserve if you are getting that awesome console for only fotus then you are doing the console an injustice!
It’s just an ARMOR! It’s not giving you help in gameplay. You people are just insane! Because of your jealous you will threat, betrayal your teammates only because they have FOTUS? Shame on you all.

Yes, but the Haunted helmet is the worst in Reach. Im an Inheritor and have never worn it. FOTUS is something I the gamer is paying for. This isn’t an automatic 1 credit or XP taken out of my armory. This a 350 dollar unit that comes with 2 controllers (60 a piece) the game (60) the Xbox (200)the headset (30?) and FOTUS (the tax)
That’s over 400 dollars worth of stuff. And im to be ‘punished’ by noobs who are jealous? Hahaha

Nope not at all. I believe you deserve the exclusive armor if you paid 350.00. I’m more concerned or interested with the base reaction that has been observed to happen with higher ranked players from 50s to Inheritors. There’s a huge gulf between them and what they really represent, but the reaction is to target them because of this perceived relevance. FOTUS has slightly trended into this rich versus poor mentality that can lead to the majority singling out these minority players on a sub conscience level.
Also I want to post this as a separate post but are you so shallow that you will hunt down people that have fotus. You are pathetic what you going to hunt the people who have different preorder bonuses, an LE bonus or map pack pass bonus. You know what op I am sorry that like the reach console I am buying the halo 4 console because I think its awesome. You have no reason to be immature so stop getting angry at people who have different things, because unlike you most of us know we will not get everything in halo 4, so stop blaming others.

True. But im getting console AND LE. And im splitting LE with my gf. I just dont understand why its a rich v poor thing. Im not rich. I make 8.19 an hour at Taco Bell, live on my own, pay rent, phone and internet, plus groceries, gas and cigs. How is that rich? I just know how to budget my money (thanks GameStop!)
The FOTUS helmet stands out, putting players wearing it at a disadvantage. If by mistreat you mean kill, of course I’ll kill enemy players wearing FOTUS… and I’ll -Yoink!- them, which is something I don’t normally do.

Think about it who would call something $400 that was announced a good while ago something only rich people could afford. Its simple jobless people or those who can not save. I mean it is sick when you think about it, its like you said noobs punishing you will probably be kids, because most adults that have jobs that are not getting the console did not want it and would not care.

Oh you will, if I get you in a game on my team (chance f that happening 1 in 1,000,000) I will grief the whole team I have no problem going in to lose when I have certain types of people on my team. Please betray me LOL
