Will you miss Reach?

This is just something I’ve been thinking about recently. I know that Reach has been criticized heavily during its lifespan, and I can understand that it has numerous flaws, but replaying the campaign the other day brought back a huge sense of nostalgia for me. This is the game that has been with me for the last 2 years, and for what it’s worth, I think it was great. I have so many good memories of it, and I think I’m truly going to miss it. For hours a day I would sit playing matchmaking, or forging a map, or playing customs with friends. Halo Reach, despite what others say, will always be an amazing game to me. Sure, it was flawed and could get frustrating, but I’ll be sad to see it go.

Don’t worry, though, I’m still incredibly excited for Halo 4, and am hoping it’ll be 10 times better than Reach!

Nope.

Who says we’ll stop playing Reach when Halo 4 comes out?

I’ll play Halo 4 until I get bored, which might take a while. Eventually I see myself going back to Reach for a bit though, but I don’t think it’ll be the same. I know Halo 3 wasn’t after Reach came out.

It depends if they suddenly decide to start updating the game again. Which they should have been doing since Bungie passed off their game. Each month updating a playlist, gametype, or map. It’s the one strength Halo has that they don’t utilise. A lot of people stopped playing Reach because it was the same thing every match.

If you present an update or new way to play the game, it can become really popular. Just look at Day-Z.

Just got smacked with tons of medical bills. Already lined up buyer for my pre order. So I’ll be on Reach till I start walking/working again.

I’ll miss Reach about as much as I missed Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3.
Not at all.

Well, Reach being my first Halo game, I will miss it. No matter how much people prefer past Halo games over it, I will still miss it. I will not play it nearly as much, I admit, but I’ll still visit it from time to time depending on how many people still play it.

i know i wont miss reach that much at all. it just never felt like a Halo game with out Master Chief or cortana. i cant wait to play as the Chief again. 18 days…

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Absolutely not.

No.

It was a bad Halo game but at least it wasn’t as bad as the plethora of experience/reward shooters like COD with little sandbox balance or skill required.

hell no.

the only memories I have from this game are all the kills I was robbed of and the jetpacking armor lock stupidity that happens every match. Plus it ruined Halo and how it used to play as we know it forever.

If Halo 4 has a gametype scripting engine that is at least as capable as Megalo, then I won’t miss Reach in the slightest.

Same answer for me.

Exactly! Pay no mind to these nay-Sayers! I make sure to play every halo game frequently to keep things fresh.

no. i wont. it was a great satisfying game, but now, it sucks, not the game, but the players. some are good, some are annoying, and most piss me off. plus, im really good and i dominate people. sooo like i said, great game, i truly enjoyed it. but i wont miss it

Nope. I’m already bored now with it.

I can’t say I’ve ever missed a Halo game. I thoroughly enjoy my time playing each game, then pass the torch onto the next one.
When I need to fill my cup of nostalgia, I’ll return to the previous Halo game I wish to enjoy and play it for some time, then return to the current one.

Each has their unique thing that makes me return to them every so often.

I have had a blast playing Reach, but I’m ready to move on and excited for the next instalment of the franchise I’ve been playing for a decade.

I haven’t even played Reach in months. I might go back to it after a few months just to see how it is. But right now, no, I won’t miss Reach.
