I think my mind’s made up: I’m going to go back and play Halo 3 exclusively starting July 1st.
I’ve been wanting to do it for awhile, but I traded my copy of Halo 3 in for Reach a couple of years ago (whoops), and just couldn’t bring myself to pay for another copy. But, with the free download coming on July 1st, I don’t have any more excuses. I’ll still have to get all the DLC for $17 or whatever, but hopefully there’ll be a nice little spike in the population and some fun will be had.
So, how about you? WIll you be revisiting Halo 3 come the download on July 1st?

Add nothing to what? This subforum exists to discuss anything and everything related to Halo 4, not just to voice complaints and suggestions about how the game could be improved.
I left Halo 4 on the 13th of November. But I’m not going back to Halo 3. The population in Australia is too low. I once spent 3 hours just searching and I couldn’t get into a single game.
I prefer playing Reach, as I find it to be a much better Halo game overall.

Halo 3 is better than Halo 4 in certain ways, and it is worse in certain ways. It’s just a matter of opinion.
It is a silly notion that one has to play a game exclusively as if it makes that game or that experience better than all else. Why can’t we play multiple games at a time instead of having to pick and choose where our exclusive loyalty lies?
Today I played Wolfenstein 3D, Battlefield 3 and Halo 4. Neither one nor the other is more important or better.
I’ll stick with Halo 4, but I suggest instead of getting the DLC, you buy ODST. It’s like 10ish bucks now at gamestope, comes with all the DLC on the disk, and has a great, albeit short Campaign, and an epic Firefight mode. More material at less cost the way I see it
I could never go back to the Halo 3 non-hitscan BR. I loved Halo 3 ranked objective but it had it’s time in the sun for me. Living in Australia Halo 4 or Reach are light years in front of Halo 3 for quality of online play.
I can’t wait to step up from Halo 4 to next gen Azure cloud based Halo Xbox One. I suspect the dedicated regional servers are just going to be dreamy in comparison to the current Xbox Live P2P service.
