Will you have to redeem the Limited edition codes on the day it luanches to get the special items like 9 maps?
Once you put in the codes the 9 maps are available for free once the DLC is put out. We don’t get any early access.

also, remember those extra 9 maps will not download until they are released to the public.
I know as soon as I get home with my copy, I’m redeeming all of the codes to avoid me losing the codes.

The wait for the downloads are going to kill me! Because when you get on Reach the downloads stop. I’m expecting it to work the same for Halo 4.
Well you won’t HAVE to redeem it on the first day to get the extras if that’s what you’re asking.
I’m thinking the codes should be valid for up to a year.

It’s part of the Limited Edition of Halo 4. It gives you free access to 3 DLC packs which include 9 mas. But people who purchased the limited edition still have to wait for the DLC to come out first. No early access for us.

You don’t, you get 3 lots of 3 maps eventually, each probably a few months apart for free if you get the legendary edition. You don’t get them all at once on launch day which is what OP wrongly thinks.
Well I imagine you would have until the end of 2012 to do so! But anyways I’ll probably redeem them as soon as I get home! Which is going to suck since I’ll want to play Halo 4 so bad! But whats an extra five minutes?.. Ugh what I am saying that five minutes will be pure hell!

I’m sure we’ll have a time period longer than a day to download the codes. Also like the others have said we don’t get the 9 maps at launch.
I’m just hoping the codes work on launch day. Too many times game codes haven’t worked at launch with other games and I hope 343i has everything working right away.

I plan on most likely entering the codes on Xbox.com, and then starting up my Xbox, and letting them download as I sleep.

I don’t think the OP fully knew what that meant to begin with, some people get confused when they see that LE comes with 9 extra maps, and think that people who get the Limited Edition get’s 9 extra maps on release day.
Even though I pre-ordered it, I won’t be getting it until Christmas. I hope it still works by then.

Surely you can convince your folks to let you at least put in the codes.
Just redeem all of your codes on the day, I heard that the codes expires in January 2013.
