I am disappointed with Halo Master Chief Collection. I paid $70 dollars for this game and well it is broken. To say otherwise is a lie, after updates and supposed server fixes the game still does not work. My wife laughs at me and asks why I stare at a screen for hours that says searching for players. I was looking forward so much to playing this game online and is why I purchased it, but your online is broken and not even in the slightest worth even a quarter of the money I’ve spent on it. After having it for a week I’ve played maybe 4 matches online, after spending hours every day pointlessly searching. It’s apperant this title was simply a money grab for your company, rerelease titles you didn’t even create, don’t run a beta and collect easy fast cash. Anyways I want my money back please and thank you, you conned me and I have kids and a very small budget of buying 1-2 games a year and what a mistake to buy yours. I just hope you don’t trash the franchise with halo 5, until then I’ve lost faith.

You shouldn’t have to wait 2 weeks after it is released to be able to play it.

You can play it, matchmaking is playable as advertised
campaign is fully playable, as are custom games, forge, and full customization is available. What can’t you play again?

No you see, players paid for their Xbox one, Halo MCC and and xbox live gold subscription, you should not have to wait 3 weeks for the game to work and being able to pay.
When you buy anything, a microwave, a PC, an iPod etc, if it doesn’t work, you return to the seller and either get a working one for free or get a refund, right away.
There is no reason and no excuse for videogames, its a product and it has been marketed and announced to have specific features, right now most of them don’t work at all, or not even properly.
The game shouldn’t have been released as it is right now, it has so many bugs its like in a “alpha” state.

You can play custom games with random people or friends if you use a little man power, which can be a lot for some people. Campaign can also be played together with friends, or with random people successfully, and matchmaking can be played (not fast, granted). But all require XBL gold. If they didn’t have it, then you couldnt do ANYTHING in MCC.
There is nothing broken with your xbox, or with xbox live, im not saying the game isn’t bugged, but you bought everything, and are getting everything you paid for. Not what you expected you paid for.
They forgot to advertise the part where the game crashes on the “post-game carnage” screen.
The feature where it setups uneven team counts (i.e. 6vs4).
The feature where the game puts you and your friends in separate teams in matchmaking even though you were in the same lobby.
The feature where right before the multilayer game starts, some players get disconnected (because the game fails to connect), crash etc
And don’t even get me started on the campaign, terminals don’t work, if you load one up and try to exit you loose control in MCC and need to restart the game, single player achievements & skulls malfunctioning, Halo 2 anniversary online co-op doesn’t work(try to load a level, disconnects both players before it loads).
Problems trying to join a friend through the MCC menus, have to restart MCC and then invite the friend to a lobby through the Xbox menus so then it works.
Terrible UI design choices (finished a campaign level want want to go back to the menu? NOPE wait for the next level to load before you can quit or change of level).

Hi Robin,
I am sorry that you are not satisfied with the game in the current state. We are working around the clock to fix these problems. If you wish to have a refund, then sorry, we just wanted a bunch of pre-orders to make sure we make our money, and let the community suffer while we continue to patch our non tested game we call the Halo: Master Chief Collection.

Actually, matchmaking is not playable for everyone, so don’t speak for everyone. I was finding games sporadically, but haven’t been able to find a game while searching solo for 4 days now. I’m not looking for a refund and am waiting patiently for matchmaking to be fixed (I bought the game because I love the series, after all), but don’t pretend like everything is working as normal.

Wait… what? How is that different then any campaign ever? I don’t recall playing any game asking if I wanted to go back to the main menu after completing a level/mission in a campaign. That would be terrible and take you out of the story.

Your logic doesn’t add up. They advertised and promoted Dedicated Servers. We paid for said feature. Doesn’t work.
If you go out and buy a new tv and it claims to have smart features installed but when you get it home they don’t work. All you can watch is your cable. That’s ok? You EXPECTED the smart features and paid accordingly. It shouldn’t be different for this game.
Stop defending it. When we pay our money we expect the product to work. There’s no defending this. If you do, you need to learn the value of your hard earned money.
