Soo I was a huge Halo Wars fan and frankly I’m a little let down by what I’ve seen from the beta. I will probably still pre order the game just because I want it to believe it will be amazing… (Maybe after they make some changes after the beta)

Yep! I’m loving it so far, and am stoked for the campaign! The gameplay is a huge improvement on the first game.

I am upset with the changes. And I will keep playing HW1. I’v still got hope for this game though. Glad they did this beta. Hope they learn a lot from it.
I plan on preordering… BUT since it’s not slated for release until 2017, I’ll probably wait a few months before I decide where to preorder and what version.
Unless they change it drastically, then no. They need to make it more like the original. Not like your average RTS. Halo wars 1 was simple and fun. They’ve only muddied the waters with this next game.
I’m undecided, but will likely pick this up, and preorder later on towards release. I enjoyed the multiplayer in HW1, but the campaign is the main seller for me as with most RTS’s. Although I am dissatisfied at the current state of the multiplayer, as long as the campaign is enjoyable I will likely purchase this.

I don’t preorder any game, no matter how good it looks. I do plan on getting it on launch day though.
perfect timing to get XBOX ONE S…my old XBOX ONE is old. Need that 40% smaller & slimmer XBOX ONE S will look good for my HALO WARS 2 try out! I’m looking forward to it. I hope they’ll adds more “EXTRA” to the menu. Trophies! Badges! Medals! Ranks!

Halo Wars 2 is nothing like your average RTS.
They advanced Halo Wars into the much better game that people wanted. A fog of nostalgia is blinding you from the fact that the changes have made the game better.
The astounding amount of people that want a dumb Halo Wars clone physically hurts me.
Waiting for news of a legendary edition before I spend money, but if there isn’t one then yes, the pre order is happening.

Problem with this is, you can still play Halo Wars 1, if you liked the game its still available, I still play it myself.
Sequels to games happen for many reasons, one of those reasons is to improve upon the previous incarnation of the game. A common complaint about HW1 was it lacked depth, so that is one of the things HW2 is attempting to address.
Game franchises would get incredibly boring if they were just releasing a re skinned version of the game every few years. Sequels have to change in some way and if you ask me from what I have seen HW2 is not drastically different. It has new elements that like most games require a learning curve. Only you can decide whether you want to learn or not.

This. Will be pre-ordering closer to release date (don’t see the point of doing it now though).
On the fence about pre-ordering it. Definitely want to get the Ultimate Edition for the Definitive Halo Wars edition. Would be pretty cool.
I’m kinda stuck in between. I wasn’t thinking about pre-ordering it before, but now I am. I don’t know how much I’ll actually play it but I’ll make a final decision about 2 months before release.
Wont be a pre order, Ill wait a few days after release and see how it’s shaped up. I’m one of the ones who think it’s drifted a little too far from its predecessor.
Will it get a sale? Yeah probably.
Will I put in the hours like i did on Wars 1? Doubt it. Feel like ill be dragging myself on for a game tonight.
