Many anti-Sprint/Spartan Ability fans, rather die hard fans or veterans, referenced the “Golden Triangle” for why Sprint and Spartan Ability don’t belong to Halo. The Golden Triangle is formula that nothing should prevent player from using weapons, grenade, and melee. It’s not you can do these things at the same time. Sprint and Spartan Ability break this formula that consisted gameplay of Halo CE thorough 3. My question to them is if you can shoot, grenade, and melee while using Spartan Ability, will you be pleased or at least have no problem with new additions? To clarify, you can use your weapon, throw your grenade, and melee while you are clambering, thrusting, and Ground Pounding. This idea would make sprint pointless, but still valid for Spartan Ability.
Most SA fall in the same category as vehicle boarding or duel wielding in my book. Only Sprint, Spartan charge and stabilizer need to go.
Being able to do more while doing these actions seems a bit op and just invites imbalance. Clamber is acceptable to me because it really is optional. It helps in certain specific occasions but I rarely have to do it. I can just as easily crouch jump to the same area while retaining my ability to shoot.
Battles shouldn’t be won because of some cheap mechanic nor pushed heavily in one direction or the other by the press of 1 button. It should come from the combination of your actions. The ability “always stand a chance” regardless the odds should be preserved. The slow turning (fixed), small radar, and S charge kinda ruin that hence the complaints.
It isn’t as much a push because it’s something new as it is how the new works with the old that is the origin of complaints about SAs.
Sprint has this problem as well as others but that’s a whole can of worms in its own right
Shooting, melee, and grenades should NOT be available during sprint, clambering, and ground pound.
That would just be ridiculous looking.
I can already see the awkward animations and people running while shooting like chickens without heads.
