Will Xbox One get LAN someday?

Anywho, it seems like Xbox One doesn’t have LAN because of the “always online stuff” when it was first announced.
It would be nice to see if an Xbox One slim could do LAN. Since Halo MCC and Halo 5 are first party games, they could be updated to make LAN playable?
I know it seems unlikely, but without LAN or splitscreen, Halo 5 co-op will be IMPOSSIBLE when Xbox Live servers get shut down. Why hasn’t anyone brought this up yet?
