What I mean by that is will we visit the same missions since agent Locke will be looking for chief and he’ll most likely will look for the last place chief was on. Like following chiefs footsteps. If that’s the case then that’ll be kinda boring and repetitive even if the missions will be kinda different.

This could be a possibility but a bad move on 343i’s part, this would just make gameplay stale and repetitive. However, they could make it a detective type of game where you retrace the steps but some people would argue that this is not the ‘Halo’ way which in my opinion would be true.
One could assume that they use the Halo 2 storyline as a precedent, with the two characters converging at some point.
Maybe similar areas but not exactly the same. Like two different paths on the same planet.
