They have been in Escalation as well as Thursday War and Mortal Dictata. But aside from that, the T’vaoan have only been in Halo: Reach. Do you think we’ll ever see the T’vaoan in the games again? While tons of them did die during the War, there are still many around and do you hope to see them again?
exspanded universe, yeah… games, unlikey!

expanded* unlikely*
Yeah I think that feeling is mutual with the Jiralhanae, San 'Shyuum, Huragok, Kig-Yar (Ruuhtian), Yonhet…

Add the Yanmee to that list as well. At this point I don’t think these species will actually reappear in game at all.
No, 343 are too fixated on their Dino Jackals (i.e. Ibie’shan) to even consider bringing back some variation towards the Kig-Yar. I don’t understand why since the Skirmisher were really fun to fight in Halo: Reach. I’d also like to see 343 distinguish the Ibie’shan Jackals from the Ruuhtians, since they’re separate subspecies.

I was thinking that Ruuhtians can keep filling the regular Jackal role, and that Ibie’shans could be a fast melee unit coming at you with an energy cutlass or something.
Part of me believes that Ibie’shans were meant to be Ruuhtians, but because of how people called 343 out on the drastic change, they decided to call it a new subspecies of Kig-Yar.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.
But that sounds like a good idea. I’ve always wanted to see an energy cutlass in a game.
I sure hope we see them again. They’re literally my favorite Covenant (sub)species.
They need a game with all the Covenant species as enemies.
Sangheili
Unggoy
Kig-Yar
- Rhuutians
- Ibie’shan
- T’vaoan
Jiralhanae
Huragok
Yanme’e
Lek’golo
San’shyuum

I would prefer this over promethean enemies. Just give them enough classes and combat roles.

Hell, the Flood were more fun to fight than Prometheans. They should have just stuck with Sentinels and Enforcers.
