I for one hate playing infection on The Cage.
Its the worst.
I remember doing the forge contest Bungie hosted, they wanted us to also make zombie maps; promising us they’d place them in matchmaking. I’m sure a few hundred people sent in a map, so where are they? Why are we still playing on default maps?
I rarely play this playlist but when I do, I always think about how much better this playlist could be.
Does anyone remember Halo 3’s infection playlist? Remember all the custom made maps in it?
For the love of God 343, do something Bungie was too lazy to do. MAKE THE INFECTION PLAYLIST FUN AGAIN!
Much agreed. I’d like to see some good community maps, so people don’t camp. I’d like to see good use of the purple and green effects to make it scary.
I was assuming a TU like 343 did, in about december 2010 and decent living dead playlist maps and gametypes by about october 2010 (maybe a haloween thing)
Instead its been about 4 months since any playlist has been touched and reach is starting to get stale (yes even with 50 playlists, when youve played every playlist’s maps and gametypes it gets old.)
I, too, would like to see some balanced maps make it into Living Dead. However, the playlist will need to be lowered to local max 2 for community-made maps to truly have potential. There’s only so much we can do with the Bungie-made (and Certain Affinity-made) layouts, especially since they weren’t intended for Infection (or, in most cases, Forge).

Maybe in moderation, sure… But while FX do contribute to atmosphere, they also contribute to uniformity. People complain enough about grey; do we really want to give them reason to whine about purple, too?
The community maps made zombies on halo 3, it really annoys me that on reach it the normal variant of the map.
