Will we ever see "cool" modes in matchmaking?

I HATE Xbox - I won’t get into details (why do we still need AA batteries for controllers?), but suffice it to say I’m a PS4 fanboy and bought an Xbox One SOLELY for MCC - I LOVE Halo, my fondest memories are playing the game with 3 other friends IN THE SAME ROOM (while also being able to go online with said 3 friends and play matchmaking games). However, all the game modes that really made Halo special are not there - (Juggernaut, Infection, Oddball, Griffball, and my favorite - ROCKET RACE). Without those game modes, Halo’s just another Battlefield 4 to me (except for the fact that you can play 4 players locally in Halo).

So my question is, does anyone know or do you guys think 343i will eventually implement a patch that will add those game modes into matchmaking? I would be VERY disappointed if they didn’t (not that they would care, I’m just stating my preferences). At the very least, they should let players host custom matchmaking games; I think that would solve a LOT of problems.

And with that said - what’s your favorite game type/mode that isn’t currently in the game?

I wouldn’t get your hopes up. And even if they plan on releasing those fun gametypes it probably won’t be until the launch of h5.

That’s fine by me, as long as they DO get released at some point. I mean, I’d much rather have them earlier, but I’ll settle for late as opposed to never.

I hope for your sake they do add those game modes back in. I was not a fan and like the competitive gameplay, BUT, what made Halo so fun was its diversity and how many different game modes and options you had. Now its down to just a few, and if there is any of those fun game types its solely on the newer games which are not as fun (If I can say).
