Brutes weren’t always the fan favorite but they provided a challenge at certain points in 2,3, ODST, and Reach. Do you guys think we will ever see them again in game ?
I miss the Brutes. Cortana did mention them by their species name during the final mission so there is hope!

I was so happy when she did that because I never knew how to pronounce it.
I hope we see them again. I miss the Brute Shot, the Mauler, and the Hammer in particular.

They also stated their name in the Halo Wars campaign, if you ever played it.

I’m pretty sure that, canonically, the brutes are in civil war after nearly going extinct post human-covenant war, so it’ll probably be a while before we see any more of them in the games.
There was a video or something that said the Elites basically destroyed them after the split. I’d like to see them again but i’m ok if we don’t.
the brutes do return in Halo Wars 2 due to what happens to the Spirit of Fire and that on it’s return it enters deep brute space.
We will probably catch a glimpse of them in Halo 6
I think we will. 343 will likely redesign them to be more fun to fight. I’m really looking forward to seeing the sandbox expand. I thought 5 would expand it more after 4 started to, but it doesn’t really. I’m looking forward to seeing Brutes, Engineers, Drones, Flood, Forerunner soldiers (not Prometheans) and even Precursors come into gameplay some day.
As much as I disliked them, I wouldn’t mind them coming back. Anything is better than Prometheans. I HATE them. So boring to fight and no connection to them. Elites/covenant are religious fanatics, brutes were vying for power. Prometheans…no idea, their just robots basically.
Theres a 4 year gap in between the brute’s power play and now, its possible they have already been exterminated or enslaved by the elites on both sides. The Sanghili are very proud warriors and took the jiral hane’s appointment very stressfully.
