I for one definitely love the SPI armor that the spartan iii’s use and also kurt-051 used. It’s just a simple looking armor but it looks so damn good.
My questions for you all is:
- Do you want SPI armor in Halo 5 in a future updates?
- Will 343i ever make SPI armor for Halo 5?
I personally would love if it were in the game but I don’t think 343i will ever add it in.
Just my opinion. Tell me yours.
No.
Simple question. Simple answer. It was only ever scene on the cover of a book.
Nightfall is pretty good for SPI.
For the helmet maybe Hermes, or probably just EVA.

Or Atlas.
To be honest, I prefer to get GRD.
SPI probably won’t happen without a major redesign because for an armour, it sucked at being an armour. It was basically a camo suit with a visor.

Yes, this!

Two books, to be precise; not to mention its appearance in external sources such as the Halo encyclopedia and art books. And the fact that is was referenced in Halo Reach.

Sorry to hear you never saw the Headhunters animated short story. It was quite good.
(Spoiler: it has Spi Armor)
Not really, but they kind of gave fans this:
Wrath:
Formally an upgrade of existing Mark V EVA suits, the WRATH project was actually cover to develop a new Mjolnir variant specifically tailored to the needs of future Headhunter teams.
I think that’s as close as it gets.

PILOT-class Mjolnir set from Reach was also somewhat close (even referenced it in the helmet description), but still not the real deal.
They could make it an armor mod. You get active camo but your shield and armor are decreased. I doubt we’ll ever see SPI in a game, except maybe Halo Wars 2. For the most part, typically only Spartan III’s and head hunters use SPI. Since they didn’t have SPI in Halo Reach and all the games now focused on Spartan IVs, I don’t think we’ll see them in a core Halo game.

If Spartan-IVs can requisition armor modelled after old MJOLNIR Mk. IV and V variants and ODST armor. Given some S-IVs came from the III program, why can’t a GEN2 variant just as good as any other GEN2 armor come into play?

That’s because its invisible.
Thats asking if we can actually get the armor to start looking like Halo armor again instead of this generic power ranger looking crap.
Forget SPI. I’d rather Have Mark V Anniversary, CQB, and EOD. All the classic armors we loved that 343i has thus far refused to bring back.
Except Hayabusa. Hayabusa can rot in a sack for all I care.

Irrelevant to the topic.

Exactly! It is such a nice armor and can be converted into Gen2. Hopefully one day it’ll be in a game where we can wear it

We can have all that, I don’t know why people assume you can only have one thing and not another thing too. 343 has a seemingly managed to make multiple new sets of armor.
