I really love everything in the arena playlist, but I greatly dislike breakout and dread playing it whenever it comes up. I also miss the MLG playlist from Halo 3, and would kill for a BR start with the secondary being AR.

They put BR’s in BTB but made it the secondary instead of primary. I know all you have to do is press “Y” everytime you spawn, but come on 343…

I know the map vote is unlikely, but I’m hoping for a veto system like in Halo 3. Have they officially announced that will never be an option in Halo 5?

I like how it is now with map selection. It forces players to play on different maps rather than on the same ones constantly. Adds variety to online play.

You still see same maps get voted a lot but I agree with what you say. At least we get to play more variety which is what player voting could’ve potentially stop every game.

I agree about the voting, I hated it, but the veto option was so nice. I don’t think it needs to be BR start all of the time, but maybe put a BR Start playlist, or throw it in as another option, like BR start in slayer.

That’s hilarious cause when I play BTB I will get the same map like 4 times in a row. At least with voting we got to play on maps we liked…like Hemorrhage from Halo Reach. Unlike stupid Recurve or even worse is having to play strongholds multiple times in a row.
BR starts ruin Halo games and the veto system did nothing more than sentence you to the same map over and over (not like this junk rotation system doesn’t do that enough as it is).
I just get tired of people using BR’s and only BR’s. Ever sense Halo 3 people want to use only BR’s. it gets old. In Halo 2 you were forced to use every weapon you could find, and you had better know how to use it. That’s why I like Halo 5 so much. I feel like I’m playing what Halo 3 should have been. I must master all weapons to overwhelm people. Not everyone knows how to use certain guns. They just run to the nearest BR. Then you have the great players that dominate with all guns: snipers, carbines, needlers, bolt shot, SMG, hydra (used properly), and more. Using all the weapons appropriately and diversely makes this game more fun. Not only will you get more kills, you will have fun doing it. BR starts, I swear, played a part in ruining Halo 4’s MP; and it will always ruin the fun.

yes Map veto would be great in BTB. i find i am playing the same map and game type numerous times in a row; the same was happening the Warzone. i swear one day i played spire board all day long.
also agree with techarch. having to learn to use weapons make you a much better player. as i have been trying to close out some of my commendations for weapons i found out how great some of the odd ones are. Hydra is easy kills once you know how to properly use. same with the bolt shot(and especially the 2 HP versions of it)
BR starts aren’t necessary because the Magnum is a more than capable sidearm. And I’m glad there’s no map voting/veto options because then it’d result in the same few maps being played over and over.
There are so many terrible maps in H5 that this game desperately needs a veto option. There is a reason why certain maps were voted the most, it’s because they are usually the best maps to play on. I’m sorry but the current “random” map selection is absolutely atrocious. Playing terrible maps consecutive happens more frequently than ever before. I play on the same maps more in H5 than any other Halo.
I also agree with you in regards to having one playlist with BR starts. Not sure why all the casual playlists have BR starts, (BTB & SWAT), but it would be nice to have a separate playlist with 4v4 BR starts.
Starting with Br’s will just be great. The Mag is pretty much a small DMR…
