Will we ever get an update?

343 is the worst company ever for updates, building hype and keeping players involved. For a title based on trickling out parts of the game post release the communication is awful. How can you expect to maintain a player base and engagement when you barely communicate with us? I’m not talking about much, a tweet, a FB post, a one paragraph update telling us when you will give us more, basically anything other than the NOTHING we get. No wonder 343 Halos lose players faster than water flows through a screen.

We’re getting monthly DLC content updates, I mean they’re doing a pretty good job. What do you want them to post a progress report every week?

No, but you have to admit he has a point. 343 gives us updates like Church lands headshots… close to never.

Pretty sure it’s gonna be a surprise since, in the New Year’s message of the day, it said there would be a surprise soon for 2016.

Bravo did tweet multiple times that the next community update will be posted Friday. So look for it tomorrow.

That was a vague statement about the year.

While I understand your frustration, they did put out a notice saying that they’d be delivering monthly updates with new seasonal playlists. I do agree that a more specified date of when exactly the update will be rolling out would be nice, though I believe the January one is supposed to be coming out next week (don’t quote me on that though).

I managed to miss that tweet, thanks!

No problem. Sometimes its hard to find under the pile of MLG related tweets.

> As someone with a master’s in business I absolutely do not understand 343s business strategy post-launch. Having a single tweet or Facebook post once a day just giving a simple statement like “Good things happening in the office today!”. Just actually having communication between the studio and the fans would only benefit both parties.

100% this. Why they don’t do this… it’s just beyond me.

RVB! Lol

Actually alot of games that have incoming content do give the community feed back and teases to keep them interested. They don’t tease u with a small block of cheese then leave u hanging for a month

I think that works actually be a good idea

You mean like a weekly update? Why yes, that would be a wonderful idea, works great for Bungie. Even a tweet, anything letting us know when we can expect new playlists. Maybe something that explains why playlists are taken down and not replaced anew. Anything would be better and more confidence inspiring than this from all the way back on 12/18 “We hope you enjoy this week’s update and Forge through the holidays, and we’ll be back in early January to talk more about what’s next, ‘cause there’s plenty on the way. I myself have only seen a few previews of what 2016 holds, but I do believe we can expect great things.” Bravo does not seem like even he has any clue about what is coming in January other than that he “believes” we can expect great things.

After MCC and forge maps in BTB, 343 inspires no confidence for me, they won’t answer direct questions no matter how many times they are asked, they censor their forums with 1980’s soviet zeal and seem to care little for input from the oldest Halo fans. They act like they created Halo and the phenomena around it and we should kiss their feet for it when in reality with their demonstrated track record they should be bending over backwards to engage and maintain players instead of being obtuse and totally uncommunicative. It does not bode well for the franchise or it’s longevity and possibly for it’s continued survival.

theres your update

seriously people, this is exactly what they want you to do.

they string you along and make you go crazy/hyped for the next update only to make it underwhelming then hype you up more for the next one

bungie is doing the same thing

classic psychological conditioning

Still a surprise.

But I wouldnt expect anything crazy this soon. You’ll just be getting your hopes up to then be disappointed.

Yeah, they’re doing pretty good at giving us DLC maps that are made from forge. I’m just waiting on that non forged BTB and arena maps.

Missed that, thanks. I guess I’m just used to Bungie, not trying to start a flame war about Bungie by the way, but they do a great job in communicating Destiny news. I am also used to Halo 3 and Reach communities being everywhere in the day, now there just isn’t much for someone seeking Halo news or sites compared to the past I suppose. Kind of makes me sad about the decline in popularity but oh well. I think H5 is the best arena shooter since H3 and nothing else even comes close in the quick TTK age of today. Hopefully after the holidays they come at us with renewed vigor, I would score the arena Slayer gameplay a 9 or more but the communication, release and trickle of content is very worrisome for the games long term viability.
