Because it is quite evident that this game is not for halo fans but for fans for generic modern war shooters. Perks, killstreaks, and the general dumbing down of core halo gameplay. Whats the point of only appealing to the casual crowd when they will abandon the game once the new call of duty comes out which in this case was a week after halo 4.
They just end up angering the fans that have been playing since the beginning and losing them as a result. My friends and I used to play halo for hours and not get bored with reach and 4 the game is boring after half an hour of gameplay.
Lets start laying out the guide lines for our fan based halo game.
I would like it to be an RTS where I can build anything anywhere instead of a designated base area. I want the ability to switch from RTS mode to FPS mode where I can take control of 1 of my units. I want it to have complex levels and be co-op. I want there to be 5 factions…

Speak for yourself. Been playing since CE on the same account. I have loved and hated every game since CE.
The only reason you and your friends get bored with Reach and 4 is because you and your friends got on the Hate Reach Bandwagon. Every release plays essentially the same way. You are not forced to use equipment, AA’s or anything else that was not in CE. It’s your choice. Any perceived difference between this Halo and any other is in your head.
I like the story, scinece fiction, and almost everything else, beside armor lock. There are a few flaws that the veteran players hate but we have to live with it sadly.

All HALO games are for HALO fans, but sadly it seems that the HALO community changed into mostly self entitled moaners some time between Reach and HALO 4
The Halo Community could do with having HALO fans again
Guys, guys, did you not read the over-enthusiastic press release? 343i ARE the biggest Halo fans, and that’s why they were SUPER STOKED to make Halo 4. So stoked, in fact, that they accidentally forgot to include half of the things that had made the previous games great. Oh well. As fellow fans I guess we can forgive them.
