Now let me start off by saying I am in no way dissing the new changes to multiplayer. I have absolutely no idea how they will play so I can’t say I will hate them. But that’s the thing, I have no idea how these changes will play. I cant definitely say I will or won’t enjoy the new game play.
So my question is can we hope to see a “classic” playlist or game type in Infinity (or matchmaking for those who are unaware of the name change). Now I understand 343 is GOING to test out the new multiplayer so I seriously doubt we’ll see something like this in day one. Hell, I won’t blame them if it takes a few months before considering this. They’re are going to try their best to make this game type work and fix it as much as they can.
Even with this said I’m hoping they can at one point or another they’ll release a “classic” playlist as a back up plan for those who don’t like or can’t adapt to the new changes. Its not so much as “I only want to play classic halo” but “I want to play Halo 4, but I’m not a fan of some of the changes”.
Now before you say “well if you want to play Halo 4 then you have to take all the good with the bad” but that mentality is the kind that pushes players away. Say you enjoy the Halo 4 weapons more than Halo Reach or Halo 3. Say you enjoy the maps and love the graphics. Telling a player to get out when they’re only a few features they don’t enjoy is ridiculous. Besides 343 has already stated they want to please as many players as possible and a “classic” playlist only serves to please even more players.
I want a whole hopper with classic playlist, and not just one playlists.
Where is the love for the veterans? We where the ones that took Halo where it is today.
If the popularity of Halo wouldn’t have been so great in the early games, we wouldn’t have Halo nowadays.
Please, I don’t want to be forced to play with sprint and the other things that I won’t mention.
I want to be able to experience pure Halo gameplay out of the box and that means no sprint and equality for everyone. I don’t want to wait for 6 moths for a classic playlist.
A hopper titled “Classic” should be there at release with 1-50 Halo 2 style. And everyone should have the same armor. It’s amazing that even Black Ops had one at release, Frankie I know you can do it.

Only problem is that 343 is GOING to, for lack of a better term, ram the new multiplayer on us. They’ll give us some options in custom games but by the end of the day they’re going to try to make there multiplayer work.

not much love for us old vets. back in our day in WWHalo 2 we fought those COD never stood a chance. but our nation grew weak and now they are every where infecting our forums with there ideas of throwing knives and tactical nukes. they’re passing use as a super power. forcing their influences on our nation. and the younger generation just take it. they have no will to fight for old traditions. gunny it looks like its over for use. we were alot stronger back them we use to hold two needlers like its nothing and we fought elites in MM. these boys cant even handle them selves or pick up two pistols. COD had betten us and now we are bankrupt. not even our forums can handle it. looks like we arent even welcomed into our nation. they have people with signs telling us to get out because we hold old standards and they dont like it. its over for us.

Because halo 3 has the same exact weapon list, maps, and killtimes. If I wanted to play halo 3 then by all means I will but that’s not going to stop me from wanting a simple “classic” playlist in halo 4.
We’re not entirely sure. We do know that there is going to be a classic playlist. We also know that not every change will be in every game type (something that seriously hurt reach). Since we already know that they’re creating classic variants for the classic playlist, it’s a relatively safe bet that classic variants will be included in other playlists.
