Will we be able to understand the Covenant?

If anyone who has played or seen some of Halo 4’s Campaign/Spartan Ops - are the Covenant understandable again (ie. do we hear them speak English)?

I’m trying to avoid Campaign spoilers as much as possible, and I’ve been hoping that they will return to the way they were in Halo 3 etc.

I understand that the Covenant spoke in their native tongues in Halo Reach to make them seem more alien and ferocious, and that was all well and good - but it would make much more sense for them to be heard in English once again for Halo 4, due to the fact that we’ve had Cortana or translation software (I assume) in other Halo games that are chronologically later than Reach allowing us to understand them. (Plus I missed all the funny stuff from the Grunts!)

They shouldn’t.

In Halo 4, the aliens will speak only in gibberish like they did in Reach.

Storm (the bad Covenant) as far as we know will NOT speak English throughout the entire game, however, if we see the reformed Elites from the end of Halo 3, they’ll most likely speak English.

Hmm, that’s come as a bit of a surprise to me - I suppose the canonical reason is due to the Storm Covenant speaking a different language/dialect then? You’d think Cortana would get onto translating that (shouldn’t be too hard for her), even for the sake of information about Covenant tactics/placements etc.

Hoping we get to see some reformed Elites though, I did quite enjoy having them on our side for Halo 3!
