It sounds like KB&M support is a few months away? Will we be able to buy a keyboard and mouse for HW2 when it comes out for use on Xbox?
Microsoft said they will be bringing kb+m support for games on Xbone in a future update, I hope whenever this happens, either before or after HW2 release, HW2 will make use of this feature, it’d be a shame otherwise…
I have mixed feels about this. I like StarCraft and playing with mouse and keyboard is cool , I dont mind. However im more comfortable with a controller. I know its not as good as the mouse and keyboard combo but I just feel more comfortable. And having to play against others with this mouse and keyboard advantage is just discouraging. It will force me to bust out the mouse and keyboard which I dont like. I hope we have an option to open(anyone any controler) or just the game pad. Shouldnt matter with Computer, they will have the upper hand no matter what.
Yeah, mixed feelings for me as well.
Obviously KB+M provides the optimal experience for RTS gaming, but I really loved how ES made an RTS that could function effectively and smoothly with only a controller. I don’t want to say that I’m against mouse and keyboard gaming on consoles, but then they [consoles] just become a literal under-powered PC. I’m quite fine with having my PC and my console as separate entities.
Mouse and keyboard is far better for RTS gaming, but if I’m playing Halo Wars 2 on console I’m going to want to use my controller.
