I have 2 theories about this, assuming one thing, the h5 beta was on MCC servers, if not, well it could still -Yoink- up but ehh.
so the mcc was a display of engineering excellence at launch, I wonder if h5 will be the same, now I want to compare it to battlefield, if halo 5 uses MCC servers like I assume the beta did. It might pull a bf4 on MCC again. I compare it this way as, bf4 was broke at launch, and netcode impacted bf3, so will this have the same effect. If its on its own servers, then it might just -Yoink- up in general.

I doubt it. The MCC was thrown together hastily by several companies, and is made up of 4 different games of coding. Halo 5, on the other hand, is a single game carefully crafted by 343 with several years put into it.
After playing the Beta, seeing footage from the events and hearing people talking about the game, I’m going to have to say no. Halo 5, to me, looks to be on track to have a decent launch.
I’d say it’s gonna be lot better. MCC had big aspirations trying to put 4 different multilayer games into one and it seemed a little too ambitious. So I’m thinking Halo 5 will be a lot smoother.
After MCC Halo 5 has to launch with minimal to no problems otherwise the fallout will be massive. The silver lining of MCC i guess, 343 can never ever get away with releasing a broken game.

I agree actually, if 343 release another broken game it might ruin them. I mean considering they hardly actually make the games themselves… Vanguard, blur, creative assembly, and more working on MCC I forgot. Point is, Spartan series they didn’t make, vangaurd did, blur studios made their cutscenes, I bet they didnt do the porting themselves for mcc and creative assembly is making HW2, I think I saw Sega in their too. I’m probably high, but I would love a sonic Easter egg.

Right, Halo 5 is being made from the ground up for Xbone. MCC was 4 games being ported from 2 different platforms. Chaos ensued.

That’s for spectator mode, you won’t see it when you are playing.
The whole ’ shoulder charge one hit kill’ what’s the difference of that and assassinating from behind, most of the time the shoulder charge is from behind.

That’s not broken.
That’s you being butthurt about new features and neglecting to take the time to actually look into them and how they work.
Such as the fact that you only see outlines in Spectator Mode, which was a highly requested feature, by the way. Or that Shoulder Charge is only one hit kill from behind… just like how melee has worked on every single Halo game.

No that just me and everyone I’ve played halo with wanting skill like in H2 and H3 and not noob tactics. They can add all the new features they want just don’t screw up the skill aspect of the game when you do.

If only they had a pro-team central to the development of Halo 5, influencing many aspects of the gameplay and map design…

If only they returned to a focus on Arena gameplay, with equal starts, weapons on map, emphasis on map and power weapon control and team work, and a need to learn to effectively and skillfully use your abilities to gain the upper hand.
Oh, they did.
If only they complemented the new abilities with a wide variety of interesting and engaging map elements, trick and skill jumps, and new ways to enhance the flow of combat and keep things competitive.

There you have it. The pro gammers have created this for themselves and will break the 80-20 rule and lose 20% or better of the halo online population because of no splitscreen in favor of fidelity
I’m certain it will be to some extent. I doubt it’ll be MCC levels of broken though, I doubt 343 could -Yoink- up that hard again even if they tried to.
