Will they ever fix weapons clipping through Jetpacks in Halo: Reach and Halo 4?

This has been an issue since the original release of Halo: Reach on Xbox 360 more than 12 years ago, and sadly one that carried over into Halo 4.

The problem is that when you equip a jetpack in either game, any weapon you have on your back clips through it. It looks especially bad if you’re carrying something big like a Rocket Launcher, Spartan Laser, or Fuel Rod Gun in your secondary slot. When you go into theater to get screenshots of your best moves with the Jetpack, it ruins the shot.

I was hoping 343 would’ve found a way to fix this by now and have the player’s secondary weapon rest on top of your Jetpack rather than clip through it. I think the same glitch also affects Back Accessories in Halo 3.

Bungie and 343 most likely decided this is something that does not need fixing. The clipping issue is minor and unseen in normal gameplay. Are you taking screenshots with another program? Theater hasn’t supported in-engine screenshots for a long time.

Xbox One allows for screenshots through the Xbox One itself, and there is a bit of a precedent that 343 might consider trying to fix the issue with how they handled the backpacks in Halo 3 (though I still don’t agree it was a necessary fix)

You can still take screenshots using the Capture function on Xbox One and Series S|X.
