Will they bring back the Brute Shot?

I mean, the Concussion Rifle just wasn’t a cool weapon. The Brute Shot had a melee bonus, did better splash damage, and was just more fun to use and looked better. I think everyone agrees the Conker just needs to be tossed out and replaced with the classic.

Yay or Nay?

Yay!

Concussion Rifle looks cool but doesn’t have the same audio gusto. And Brute Shot grenades could be ricocheted.

But, unless Brutes are the ancient evil (I’ve looked: they aren’t), it’s unlikely we’ll see any of the Brute sandbox for the foreseeable future.

Which is a damn shame considering the Chopper is functionally one of, if not my single favourite Halo vehicle.

Actually I don’t like the Brute shot. I like it being in the games, but it annoys me when I’m fighting someone who has it. I prefer the concussion rifle, but to me it’s just a lesser evil… Ha

I love the Concussion Rifle, it just looks so cool and is a fun weapon to use.

However, I have a feeling that we won’t be seeing the Brute Shot in Halo 4, or Brutes at all for that matter.

Yes but it should mainly be for the campaign.

I never liked it, but the more guns the better!

> Yay!

My tears are heavy… :’(

I hate the bruteshot.
Concussion > brute

Not sure if the rail gun fills the role, though i doubt it does.

> I never liked it, but the more guns the better!

I like the way you think, as long as every gun is a viable option and fun to use!

i want both back

The Brute Shot was great and I’d love to see it in Halo 4!

The one problem with concussion rifle is a noticeable projectile speed boost on Legendary.

Combine that with hrdsbc (high ranking damage sponge bottomless clip) enemies and you get massive spam.

That’s not to say the shots were impossible to avoid. They’re actually easy. The problem is that the blast radius was absurd.

And in all my playthroughs of Reach’s campaign, there’s nothing that has ruined the fun more than a bunch of Grunts or a couple of Elite minors. Ultra Elites are the only enemies I want to face and when I get to them, I end up dying since I’ve already suffered a total loss of damage and ammo depletion from fighting the lesser enemies. It’s a chore having to kill all these boring savages just to spend some time alone with my favorite victims.

All depends on weather Brutes are in the game or not.
