Will there EVER be a UI improvement?

This is going to come off as a rant, and it pretty much is, but I’m incredibly sick of sifting through a quagmire of armors and helmets every time I want to try on a new armor I just unlocked. Will there ever be an update to at least make the armors not sorted into last unlocked? Something like halo reach where you just see the general armor and then you have to select it to see all the skins you have.

I agree, H5’s UI is terrible. (Better than H4s baseball card ui) but still, it’s just terribly thought out. I wish they would just base the main menu off of reach.

I find Halo 5’s UI quite fine, myself. Years of Bungie’s UI has rendered theirs the one I would most happily operate, but Halo 5’s, as navigation and visuals go, has seldom been a bother. The way the map and gametype about to be loaded sorta shifts in emphasis and placement on the screen while in matchmaking sorta annoys me, but I’ve gotten used to it.

Did not know that the sorting order was based on recency of unlock. That explains it. I generally customize my armor through the Collection tab, where everything is organized by rarity and, within rarity, by alphabet.

If we’re hoping for stuff, I’d hope for collapsible and filterable lists. Unlock Order, Alphabet, Rarity, weirdness, colors, bulk – these would be arranged by priority, since sub-categorization matters a lot when there’s hundreds of suits and helmets.

They still need to allow us to ACTUALLY show our stances. They are pointless atm

I don’t know about you, but I see everyone’s stance just fine in the PGCR. Honestly I’d much rather have customizable intro and outro animations than stances. You know kind of like the emotes your character does in GTA:V multiplayer after you’ve won a game? I know my request is far less reasonable than yours but I still would love to be able to puff out my chest and just beat it with my fist in Halo.

I would rather have that armor lock and have the colors option to have a paint job option to choose from.

I’ve gotta rubberband my thumbstick, go do some laundry, and then come back just in time to stop the scrolling right at the newest armor unlock.

The UI really is terribly inefficient as it is. The PGCR is somewhat awkward, the customization is dreadful to navigate, finding a specific armor in the collection can take several minutes(which could easily be sorted by other filters, as well as collapsing armor skins to their non-skinned version, to use less space), commendations is fairly bad, I wish they were organized how reach was, with the most completed commendations at the top, and the least completed on the bottom. The req menu in game takes too much time from gameplay, and in the heat of the moment during a base capture, this can severely impede defending the base. Loadout weapons could be put into categories. Example:
Assault Rifle>w/kinetic bolts, w/silencer, etc.
Long shot assault rifle> w/kinetic bolts, w/silencer, etc.
So on and so forth with every loadout weapon with a different aiming mechanism(sight).
Same can be done with powerups, and armor mods can be formated in the way weapons and vehicles are, rather than a linear left-to-right interface. This would make the req stations much more efficient during battle, and may make the difference between a defended base, or a lost base.

Not under 343’s command - a very incompetent, full of failure company

Ever one of your reqs is sorted by rarity. Minus like one use cards.

And I will never understand why 343 insists so much on being different than Bungie. There was nothing wrong with the Reach UI but 343 still decided to change it in Halo 4, which, granted, wasn’t too bad (imo), and then made the Halo 5 UI even worse. I mean damn, why fix what isn’t broken? There’s not a human being on this planet that thought Reach’s UI was bad, but it was changed anyway because 343 want to be speshul. It’s absurd and a bit childish.

I’m sorry but halo 4’s UI is MUCH better than halo 5’s

I wish I could fail half as hard as 343i does…

They should’ve based the UI off of Reach. That was perfect.
