Will there be skill matching in warzone?

So far im aware players will be matched to players with similar REQ pack items but i havent heard about any skill matching.
Do you think with 12 player teams it would really matter? Personally i think the teams by chance would be fairly ballanced 9 times out of 10 but i can see some games where a team gets rolled in a few minutes haha
Does anybody know if players will be skill matched like they are in arena or do you think it will just be a combination of REQ packs and player ‘social’ level or spartan rank?

Probably won’t be skill matching since its not a competitive mode, it’s mostly just for fun.

I didn’t know that, looks like you already answered your question. There is definitely no skill matching if this is in place.

you will be put in to lobbies with people with the same amount of REQ cards that is the only thing

Warzone will probably be the social playlist of Halo 5, which would be fine with me considering I’ll need a break every now and again from the competitive arena.

If I have a team of 12 friends… I will roll over any team…

Depends who will actually play this game. But I dont see any old squad or btb players coming back for h5 let alone to play warzone…

> Warzone doesn’t feature a skill-based ranking system like CSR, but there we do use a hidden MMR value to track and match players according to skill so that teams remain balanced.

All Xbox Live matchmaking games rely on Microsoft’s hidden TrueSkill ranking system to pair players together for competitive matches. It’s at the core of the hidden matchmaking ranking (MMR) value Josh Holmes was referring to in regards to Warzone because it’s the backbone of Halo’s matchmaking system. The Arena, Warzone, “Ranked”, or “Social” is only different by how they the developers choose to implement and refine Microsoft’s TrueSkill system and whether to assign players a visual aid reflecting their particular playlist skill rank or their experience (time) level.

So to answer your thread’s topic question the answer is Yes, but understand it will likely involve a “looser” or more casual form of implementation and refinement; plus, there won’t be any visual cues reflecting one’s skill rank or experience level.
