Will there be req packs in infinite??

Do you think there should be req packs in infinite?

Absolutely not

343 said long ago that Infinite would have no lootboxes for real money. Req packs are lootboxes. So if they do come back in Infinite, it won’t be for real money.

That’s what I need clarified. I don’t want them, period. I also don’t see how them being free, as in no real money is a good idea. It will annoy some of the player base as they’re rng, and 343i will make nothing in return. If 343i confirmed no loot boxes at all, or no rng mechanic I would consider pre-ordering.

It was in fact confirmed that Halo Infinite will have Micro transactions for a Reach style armor customizer, and It was confirmed real $$$ won’t be a requirement for acquisition of these “Micro-transactions”.

I don’t think this was confirmed. All they’ve said about customization in Infinite is that fans of Reach customization will be happy. They have not said that the mtx will be tied to customization.

I ifnd this answer unsatisfactory. It doesn’t matter if the Req system is real money or not, if it is like Halo 5, it is a terrible system that generated one of the worst game modes in gaming history to accomodate it, warzone. Don’t confuse me, Warzone isn’t bad because the game play sucks, entirely, but it is bad because of the req system and the glitches that have never and likely will never be fixed. I know I have submitted several reports about glitches that were present 2 years ago that are still in the game and I have never gotten a single response. In the last one I just straight up asked if it was ever going to be fixed or if I should just get used to it.

The Req system as it exists forces you to play for hours and hours to unlock items. Also, it encourages you to play warzone instead of arena because you get req points faster especially if you are a casual player. I have played for about 3 hours and opened maybe 1 req pack every 30 minutes in warzone where if you play arena for 3 hours you may open 2 or 3 packs if you are good. I understand that in warzone the games are usually longer but for time invested, you don’t get a better return than in warzone, which as previously stated is glitchy and forces you to use reqs which in my opinion suck. If there is a “non-real money loot box system” in Halo Infinite, it cannot operate the way it does in Halo 5 and please, please, please don’t call it a Req Pack; that language just leaves a bad taste in my mouth at this point.
