I think it would be either a skill tree or something else. most open world games have skill trees, and use xp to get points to do the tree. another way would be currency but that wouldnt work with the halo style, since its not a town, its a halo

It better not be “accuracy increased by 9%” or whatever. Maybe it can be the gifts the Librarian unlocked in Chief so with his suit he can lock out the Banished from some forerunner servers and turn the rings security on them. Or maybe it to make the A.I he clearly has in game to be better at hacking like with Gears 5.

Probably like grapple speed up or walking speed up or dmg increased or something
I don’t think a “skill tree”, since chief is already a spartan 2, but “upgrades” might serve a similar purpose, improving the tools rather than chiefs own abilities. I don’t know if I’ll like it, but I’m open to giving it a try.

That would work as well
Probably just to increase how much ammo
you carry, Faster Ability Recharge or Faster Shield Regen
But that’s just me guessing

Maybe also upgraded grapple shots for instance maybe you can upgrade how far the grapple shot shoots out
I have two theories on the upgrades in Infinite.
-
They’ll be for your firebase/ vehicle/ marines/ equipment. Basically everything except the Chief directly.
-
The upgrade tree will allow players to upgrade the Chief directly. The upgrade tree will essentially let players upgrade themselves into the game playing like the classic trilogy, or the game playing like the modern games.
Probably upgrades to the Grappling Hook, Shield, or how much ammo he can carry or how well the Marines will behave with you.
I know it’s an open world game to an extent but I’m not sure a skill tree would work in Halo. I just can’t really picture how that would really function in a Halo campaign
Hey, I posted a concept of this!
Maybe, if he could only use one ability on the tree, similar to Star Cards in Battlefront II
I seriously doubt it. I think it will be more like ODST in terms of open world
God I hope not. Even in RPGs skill trees tend to be annoying for me haha.
