I know there’s a high demand to change Bumper Jumper back to how it was, but I’m old school and prefer relatively close Classic Halo Layout. Hopefully Recon or w/e it is will be on the control scheme, and if not a customization button layout will be great too.
If anything would rather have AA use moved to the D-pad and have everything else the way it was from HCE/H2/H3 or Reach with its very subliminal change classic control scheme.
and by subliminal meaning X and LB were changed for AA and Nade swapping
I really hope recon does return, I would be heart-broken if it didn’t : (
I love Recon layout because I love the AA on the LB. It’s so much easier to use and move at the same time, especially with jetpacking and sprint. It’s probably why I’m so good with the jetpack… (no oxymoron intended)

So would I, because that layout other than the changes to X, LB, and RB, is the scheme I’ve played with since Halo CE, with then the slight change in H3, and then slight change in Reach, but overall the same!
One of the MLG games showed that Recon is back,
From the Default, Sprint is moved from the LSB (Left stick button) to X, Reload/action is moved from X to RB, Melee is moved from RB to B, And Crouch is moved from B to the LSB

whoops lol sorry just read your edit : D
I did spot it during one of the MLG matches so it is definitely back but the player did not hover over the button layout so we cannot know for sure what it will look like at this point, I can’t imagine it being much different from Reach.

Yeah sorry
I decided after I put the post up to put what is different from the default layout.

No problem ^^, but I really hope I can get used to using sprint on the left stick.

So in other terms, Sprint is X, Reload/Action is RB, Melee is B, and Crouch is Left Stick, so the real question is where to swap nades button and AA button on the control scheme. It just seems they changed the swap nades button from X to something less, and I’m guess AA is still LB?

I think I will l just put screenshots of the layouts up
Default
Southpaw
Boxer?
Green Thumb
Bumper Jumper
Recon
Looks like I will be going back to Default from Recon in Reach.

im right, they just move switching nades AGAIN but to the D-pad now.

Why? What’s wrong with Recon?
Wait … are you saying they moved nades to a button instead of left trigger on Bumper Jumper? Why? -Yoink!- just add custom mapping and you won’t have to come up with 15 button layouts and still have people not happy with any of them.
In Halo 1 you only had 5 “Mid Combat” actions:
- Move
- Jump
- Shoot
- Nades
- Melee
These are actions you don’t want to take your thumb off the sticks to perform.
Now you have 7 “Mid Combat” actions:
- Move
- Jump
- Shoot
- Nades
- Melee
- Sprint
- AA
There’s just not enough buttons so they have to let people customize their layouts based on their play style.

although talk about that adjustment were discussed, this one is focus on the Recon control scheme, but yeah there’s a high demand to fix that swap for Bumper Jumper.
