I’m a HUGE fan of Halo Collector’s Editions for the most part they have always shipped with good stuff. Halo 3 ODST and Reach all had really nice ones, and I display them in my home, even the wife likes them. SO with this being the 10 year a****nniversary of Halo. I was hoping they would show something off, about a bundle or an Xbox after all its the 10 year anniversary of Xbox as well. This is like peanut butter and jelly it would just make since to do.Yet I’ve not seen anything about it. Not being able to go to Halo Fest myself I was wondering if this was something that might have been there. OR if anyone at 343i has said anything about this. I ask because I’m also a huge Gears of War fan, and the Gears of War Xbox looks really good, HOWEVER I’m much more of a Halo fan and would put off for a Halo CEA Xbox. BUT there will be a cut off date I’m sure for the Gears xbox, and I would like to preorder it before then. But I don’t to buy it for them to come out and say “Hey were making a Halo CEA XBOX 360.” You get my point?
Anyways I’m just asking if anyone know if something like this is planned.
Probably not since there was no announcement during Halo Fest and that would have been the time to announce a edition like that and we’re not all that far out from launch.

Most likely not because we’re about two months from launch. Collector’s editions are usually announced many more months in advance to secure early pre-orders. Plus, it’s just a graphical update of an older game with some DLC maps added. It really does not need a special edition.
Halo 3:ODST collecters was a custom control, a cheap boxing, and the game… how do you display that? D:

I am going to have to go with this. I also heard that they said they wanted it to be a “gift” and having a more expensive special edition wasn’t in line with that goal.

The odst controller pack wasn’t announced till right before launch. I’m thinking CEA will take the same route and have a special edition controller set.
I was told at Halofest that they weren’t going to do a collector’s edition because CEA is suppose to be their gift to the fans and charging more money for collector editions didn’t feel right to them. But who knows if they’ll change their minds in the coming months.

CEA will likely only have a limited edition. Hopefully with a Metal casing and some useful thing.

It’s much too soon to announce that kind of thing. Special editions get announced many, many months in advance.

no what would be funny is if it still had the original xbox plug rendering it useless, dissconnecting feature included.

Not Sure, but everyone i know argues about why i should write each word in capitals, of course, that’s on the past now.
Anyway, i think i Halo 4 Legendary Edition would kick **-Yoink-**assin’s Creed. That’s for sure, specially now that Microsoft is working together with 343i in H4. It’s obvious they should, like they did with the Halo Version of the Original Xbox in 2001.
