Yeah I know it is a bit soon but will there be a Halo 4 beta sometime next year? I hope to here more about it or just Halo 4 stuff in general. I’m guessing the beta could come in with H:CEA like they did with ODST.

I would imagine so, and 343 has confirmed that H:CEA will not have an invitation to the Halo 4 Beta, but I have no idea how it would work otherwise. Possibly public, like BF 3, but I doubt it. I guess 343 will let us know in time.

Yeah a public one would be more likely then. We will just have to wait for them to tell us like you said but thank you for telling me that the beta won’t be in there. I was just curious considering I didn’t know if they confirmed if it was going to be in there or not.
I would say most definitely. Betas become a marketing strategy lately so I would be surprised if Halo 4 didn’t have one.

Hopefully 343 doesn’t all the suddenly change their minds after like a couple months of release and say, “Actually we change our minds, we’re going to have a Halo 4 beta for everyone who purchased Halo: CEA.” That would really be a bummer. Especially for those who decide to trade it in after they get tired of it.
If there is going to be a Halo 4 beta, then the only possible way of playing it is to just throw in the marketplace for everyone to download. I mean, they already confirmed they’re not including it with CEA. How else are they going to do it? Unless they decide to include it with another Microsoft published game.
More like Alpha Testing so the whole community can give feedback before its too late to fix major disasters AKA building your entire MM experience off of AAs.

The problem with betas is that a lot of players see it as a chance to “play the game early” when in fact it’s supposed to be a chance for them to help test for bugs, exploits, weapon strength, and for general feedback to make the game better for all players.

There was a beta for Halo 3 and Reach, i would like there to be a beta for Halo 4

This happens a lot.
It would be a really bad marketing decision if they didn’t.
Also, the end product probably would upset a TON of people if they didn’t, as they would have no way to gain feedback, aside from private testing.
So, I’m putting my money on “There will be a Halo 4 Beta”.
And, I hope it’s an open Beta.
They could do it through reach since 343 has the multiplayer rights and servers now
