All,
For a month now, I have been tweeting at most all known 343 reps’ Twitter accounts, asking them one (1) extremely simple but highly relevant question . . . the thing we’d all like to know . . . Will there be a content update for The Master Chief Collection in July or August? (I started in June, so my original tweets were inquiring about a potential June CU).
I created a Twitter account, dedicated strictly to this purpose. 117 tweets in, and my hope that this question would be acknowledged and/or answered . . . Well, it’s still just a hope (feeling more and more like an unrealistic fantasy).
If anyone else would like to join me in my quest to discover basic customer service/product support, you can find me and my noble efforts @stevenskooba.
Here’s who I’ve reached out to thus far:
*note: names in bold are people whom are directly associated with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Handles that are not in bold are individuals whom are affiliated with Halo, but not necessarily this game, so I’ve made a point not to send them this simple question quite as often/consistently as the rest.

This question needs to be answered. I’m doing my part, and ask/hope that you will join me. IMO, the silence on this particular matter is simply inexcusable. Hope to see some of you out there politely asking for this most basic customer support info. Please let me/us know if you have any success! Thanks!

I wouldn’t expect it to happen. They may be pushing all updates off until after halo 5 releases. They’re probably hoping that if they leave MCC in this horrible state that you’ll be more likely to buy halo 5.

Hopefully we’ll find out this week in the bulletin. Crosses fingers

I hope you’re right but, with the season two finals this weekend, there’s a good chance that this week’s bulletin will be wall-to-wall HCS.

I’ve noticed a lot of these posts lately so I asked my friend at work yesterday (his good friend works at 343, that’s how I’ve been able to know certain things in the past and share on these forums). Halo 5 is taking ‘99.9%’ of the resources right now and is projected to until release (or until it is at final build). This is different than the 80/20 split that was used in the first months of release (Halo 5 always had lion share of resources, which makes sense).

The employees absolutely care and he seems very stressed / depressed (not very talky about work). There is work being done on MCC and it is not forgotten. ‘Right now’, all work is outsourced (and really it usually is, as the MCC was an outsourced project). 343 (at least the workers, not sure about upper management) honestly has no idea when the next patch will be. Zero clue (and he has been pretty accurate at most of the past estimates, however tons of date push backs, in general).

So we can send thousands of mad posts on here, but the truth is, the vast majority of the employees REALLY are on the Halo 5 grind, and that is what is best for us. They have no control of their job, just like most of us. They get assignments and deadlines and they do their work. I can’t speak for all of them, in fact, only one… but from what I see, ‘they’ (he) absolutely cares more than most all of us. We can get off that train as well.

Again, this is all word of mouth from my friend… I personally have zero direct connections. Everything I’ve been told in the past has been more or less spot on, however. So take that for what it’s worth. I’ve only asked 5-6 times total b/c nobody likes to be bothered about work daily.

Yup exactly as I suspected and typical 343/-Yoink!- fashion. They (upper management) don’t care about their fans. They would rather get halo 5 out on time and get your money sooner than fix their broken/bug ridden game (depends how you look at it. You might say it’s not broken but there’s still loads of bugs). They still haven’t provided what they promised at e3 2014… No dedicated servers, or at least well functioning ones. Matchmaking is still terribly slow, especially big team.
