Will there be a clan system in Halo 5

Since Halo is becoming more team based than ever before do you think they will have a clan system in the game. What do you guys thinks

Alot of people want it, but I’m on the fence with it. I could really see it helping the competitive side of it.

I HOPE SO!!

Would be nice if this game will be taken seriously in e-sports.

I think it would be great to have.

  1. You could build a group of like minded people if you wanted to make a clan.
  2. You could look for clans, meet new people and find the right fit for you. (This would help and give a reason for some to be social/more social. Thus making more friends and hopefully bettering the community. /sigh
  3. For people who play multiple games on the regular that have a high amount of friends in each game. This would make it where people could have the clan they play with and separate halo friends into two different places. More so just organized at minimal level.
  4. You have friends. Your friends have friends. If they invite their friends, you could have an easier time making custom games.

Those are the reasons I like the idea. Plenty of other people could easily have more ideas I’m sure.

Hopefully there wouldn’t be dozens upon dozens of KSI type clans like halo 2. You finish a game and get invited by one sect and finish another and get invited by a different sect who has no idea who the prior sect was.

Just my two cents.

Maybe a clan system with a twist (to avoid copying CoD).

Halo 2 had a clan system so 343i wouldn’t be copying anything really.

This is from a thread on this topic a couple of days ago:

During the development of Halo 5, 343 has clearly shown that their focus has shifted more towards e-sports in all aspects. As many others, I applaud this! I also understand that casual players’ wishes are important, as well as forgers, campaigners and everyone in between. This is not a discussion on the debate concerning casual vs competitive aspects of the game.

But, as I said, 343 is indeed focusing on creating a better title for e-sports, and they seem to have done everything awesome in every way (pretty much). But why not go all the way if they want to foster a competitive environment? What do I mean? I´m talking about an in-game function to allow players to create and/or join teams, just like in for example League of Legends and others. Teams that can be officially named, that can have stats of wins and losses, ranking up and down in the tiers, have its own logo, along with other features. This would foster a competitive environment like never before, in which players don’t have to take it upon themselves to organize unofficial teams that no one knows the name of, that have no recorded stats or rankings. Teams that are already famous would get even more famous if every halo player in the world could hear of them directly in the game they are playing, instead of on the web.

I hope 343 understand how much of a boost this feature would be in their push for a bigger slice of the e-sports cake.

I hope not, just make your party and move on, let 343i work on more importan things.

Ahem You should check this thread out…

Thanks for the find! Very interesting indeed, hope they will implement it in some way, not just for competitiveness but also to be able to group up with friends.

I would love for there to be a clan system I really would.

There needs to be a clan system. It was awesome in Halo 2, but Bungie didn’t really do anything with it. I love the idea of creating teams and competing/being invited to compete in championships.

People are are going to stone be, but clan events in Call of Duty are extremely fun. It keeps people coming back and working as teams to win challenges. 343 desperately needs something like this to invigorate the fractured community
