as the status says, i’m thinking about getting halo 4. but this ridiculous 10 min ban from being booted is getting way out of hand. if a dude betrays me for a sniper and i betray him back and get booted it should NOT count as a quit. Also accidental betrayls counting as quits as well. Honestly i’m not sure why, but everytime i accidentally betray someone i get auto booted by that person. players always get the boot option with me. I am an inheritor so i have accumulated many betrayls playing this game, but it should not result as an auto-boot just cuz some scrub wants a sniper or a vehicle. I will NOT get halo 4 if this stupid 10 min bann is going to be added into it.
Just because he betrayed you does not mean it makes it right to betray him back.
While the system is flawed, wrong is still wrong.
yeah thats awful advice. I dont let players get away with that, i’d rather be booted and not play with them than stay in the same game.

Uhm, no. The person who went out of his way to betray the person should be banned, not the other way around.
i’m not sure why they havent implimented this, but if a player has a sniper and gets betrayed, that person should automatically get the boot option. and they should not make betrayels count as quits… thats absolute garbage.
Seems like reading comprehension is lacking more and more in the forums as release approaches.
As I said, it isn’t right that you don’t get the option to boot them. However betraying them in return is not going to help anything. And should you retaliate in such a childish manner perhaps a boot is deserved after all.

True… But then again Violence is never the answer and kindness is the best weapon. If someone betrays you for a weapon, then steal the Fresh one when it spawns, or kindly ask for it back (Maybe this one works for me Because I’m a girl), or just wait to they inevitably get killed then take it back. And if you insist on being mean and “Getting Even” (Eye for an eye) then just laugh at him/her every-time they miss a shot with the sniper, and brag how you would of got a headshot with every single bullet, then t-bag their corpse, while shooting their dead body with their own weapon, that they stole from you.
Doing one of those will not get you booted.
<3
yeah i tried the whole being nice approach, but it resulted in 5 more betrayls against me, with out the boot option. and when i betrayed back it was an auto boot…its really getting out of hand. i hope this thread gets active so that the employees see this and undo what bungie did with this limited 10 minute ban.

And if he kills you twice, three times? NO, at some point retroaction is justifiable, if only to make up for the broken system.
I really hope there aren’t any soft bans in Halo 4 such as the mute ban and quit ban.
They are both totally unnecessary. Halo is one of the games where muting is made dead easy seeing as you don’t have to open the guide, go the recent players, find their gamercard and then finally mute them. All you have to do is hold back/select find their name and hit “X”.
All the mute ban does is bring problems. For example, if you play MLG in Reach regularly you WILL be mute banned. Why? Because people don’t want you to hear them communicate. That is why everyone in MLG is mute banned, it’s pretty stupid how easily abused this feature is. It needs to go. I am quite competent enough to mute people myself, thanks.
As for the quit ban, again totally unnecessary. It doesn’t deter people from quitting, all it does is make it a minor inconvenience to them. Quitters are going to quit no matter what. Instead of PUNISHING quitters why don’t you find ways to REWARD the people that stay? I think that’s a much better idea, honestly.
Did you know your previous thread on this got locked?
Did you know it’s against the rules to post another thread with the same questions?
I think the solution lies in a better betrayal system. One that records someone’s “betrayal record” and gives you the option to boot him the first time he betrays you if his record shows he does it alot.
i posted it twice by accident.
Betrayal s shouldnt be in halo 4 i dont want to be kicked just cuz some -Yoink- steals my ordinance and i kill him and get banned f that -Yoink-
no because if you play this game a lot then you’re going to stack up betrayels. i think that is why i get auto booted each time, i’ve played this game for 2 years and am pretty m uch an inheritor prestige 2.

(If you’re replying to me) It would only record maybe a week or two back.

ordinance has a pickup timer for people who didn’t call it in.
I doubt a “quit ban” would be implemented as you can join games mid session this time round. Betrayal ban though may be in…

I totally forgot about that, good point.
