Will the Xbox One version not have some features?

Since Infinite is coming out on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X, I do wonder if there will be some things that 343 will cut because they might think the Xbox One version will not be able to support it and/or they want more people to buy the Xbox Series X.

Come to think of it, will it allow crossplay between the 2 consoles, or will it be an Xbox One users can only play against Xbox One uses and vice versa for the Xbox Series X users. This is something I am worried about since it might punish some people who aren’t able to get the new console.

Youre not going to be punished if you have the Xbox One Version of Halo Infinite. The game is built for the Series X but will most likely just be visually down scaled for the Xbox One family of Consoles. And as for Cross Play since its all just one Xbox Live ecosystem its not really even cross play at this point, its just like playing Halo 3 360 on Xbox 360 and Halo 3 360 on Xbox One yeah youre on two different system but youre using the same Xbox Live Servers across both devices. The Game will be complete on both systems minus features like 4k and perhaps 60 fps, but other than that it will be the same game on both systems.

Can’t imagine anything will be cut, but as echoed elsewhere here, we’re likely to see a lower resolution, maybe even a 30 fps cap, scaled back textures, anti-aliasing, shadows, light effects, etc etc.

Everything Microsoft has communicated so far has indicated that Infinite will be Infinite whether you’re on a One or their new machine. Or PC. Phil Spencer has made it a point to be clear that players won’t be left out for not upgrading. Check it out here: You Are the Future of Gaming - Xbox Wire
