Will the Voice Acting Remain the Same? (H2A)

The voices of many in-game characters were done extremely well in the original Halo 2, and I’m hoping they won’t be changed. In particular, the voices of the Elites were very distinct and it would be a shame to lose that.

Halo 2 Anniversary will be just like Halo CE Anniversary.

The game will be exactly the same, just with new -Yoink!- graphics.

If it’s like CEA, the voice work will be enhanced to sound better, but otherwise remain untouched.

I know all the weapon and grenade sounds are updated, right?

I need to see the Prophet of Truth with Michael Wincott’s performance in HD. I need it…I need it.

Why did they ever change his voice actor, anyway?

From what I’ve read it wasn’t their choice, Wincott declined to return. Terrence Stamp did a good job but for me the definitive Truth voice will always be Michael Wincott. I feel as if they could’ve given a canon reason for his voice change though as in Halo 2 he sounded younger and suave but in Halo 3 he sounded like he had the flu.

I think in the comic Halo: Uprising Chief came pretty close to killing him so they could’ve done something like have Chief attempting to strangle Truth before being pulled off by a Brute or something. It’s not that big of a deal but it was odd having the voice change.
