Hi, I have a question. Ever since the Energy Sword was introduced in Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2, do you see the Spartans creating their own Energy Swords in future Halo video games?
No, as it is a distinctly Covenant weapon and would throw off the clunky, ‘realistic’ aesthetics of the UNSC weapon sandbox. In-universe, probably, but you’ll never see UNSC energy swords in the games because of their art and design direction.

Technically there’s already the Energy Bayonets, but I can’t see the UNSC making their own Energy Swords any more than their making Gravity Hammers. On the other hand, there could end up being other ‘hybrid’ stuff like the aptly named Hybrid Scopes or the Sword Needler 'hog.
Unless there’s a significant difference in appearance and mechanics though, there’d be no distinction between a Sangheili sword and a UNSC one in-game.
As much as it would be awesome for the human race to have advanced gear like that, I doubt they’ll ever make versions of their own to weapons such as the energy sword. One simple reason would be the lack of variety of in-game. Maybe clunkier versions would be made, such as normal swords, but it’s unlikely.
Why though? It’s a distinctly covenant weapon. Maybe have a conventional blade that has its blade heated by a some medium, but not a proper energy weapon

It’s funny that you describe a heated blade, because that is exactly how a Burnblade works, which is an ancient Sangheili weapon that pre-dates the Covenant.
I do not think so. UNSC likes M118’s too much and they aren’t in the plasma business.
Why would they need to make their own? If you want one, take it off a corpse. Theres usually like a DOZEN or more left after a major Spartan-based engagement.
Case in point the one DeMarco took off Gek, which then passed down to Thorne who probably still has it to this day.
A sword isn’t really the UNSC’s style is it?
Perhaps a tanto?
That would be awful. Why would anyone ever do that?
The only way I can see this remotely happening if they decide to make it a little bayonet but even then that would be pushing it for UNSC weapons

Don’t want to blow your mind but the Energy Bayonet already exists.

cool, not too deep into the lore so I didn’t know

Wouldn’t exactly call it deep lore when it’s an attachment for the AR, BR, DMR & SMG in Halo 5.
They’ll probably add a hard-light blade onto the hand or arm of the Spartans like something from Mass Effect lol. Just when spartan charge couldn’t get any worse? Amirite?

Seeing the Spartans create their own energy swords would basically be the equivalent of a Jedi building their lightsaber. That would probably be one of the most iconic scenes in a Halo game to date.
I think it would be dumb, i mean it´a weapon from the Shangeilios, it´s like if we compare elites doing Spartan Lasers, “elite lasers”
