will the SPARTAN-IV's training be in Thursday war?

like halo the fall of reach it talked about the SPARTAN-II’s training and Halo the Ghosts of onyx talked about the SPARTAN-III’s traning so could The thursday war talk about the SPARTAN-IV’s training.

Your so smart for using wikipedia to find that out.

stay on topic please

I hope so. I want to have more of a backstory to these guys before I go playing as them in Halo 4.

Probably, but I think the title also refers to pretty much everyone.

You’re so awesome for making a uncalled-for sarcastic comment instead of contributing something to the discussion at hand.

On-topic, i’d imagine it will, it’s been the same for the last two Spartan projects (formally introduce them and detail the training), and i for one am interested to find out just what the hell they did to the poor -Yoinks!- this time :P.

Ah I see now… the point of the backstory is to sell books! And so the blunting of the Halo story edge continues.

Your arrogance annoys me.

I admire your cynicism, but that seems a bit much.

You’re so smart for making the most stupidly worthless and arrogant comment to date.

Not mention, commenting on someones intelligence all the while having spelling errors. Sheesh.

Interesting. Yes, that could explain the multiplayer in Halo 4.

You’re.
“W”.

Topic: Probably. Glasslands did mention them. So you would think this book would talk about them in depth.

Dude, like… wtf? Was that really necessary? I used to think of you as a good, solid forum member. But now? With your recent posts, that’s beginning to change.

Was it necessary to post this topic when there were already 3 on the page when this was posted?

I personally don’t care what you think of me seeing as this is an internet forum, not to mention you guys are making a sarcastic remark way bigger than what it is.

But i would be happy to keep indulging your efforts.

I hope so. i would like to know more about these IV’s, it’s a shame that Bungie didn’t flesh out Noble team prior to Reach. So fingers crossed that 343 finds the time to tell us a little about these spartans. Also this is the first I’ve heard of Thursday War, is it the next book by Travis or something?

Well its common sense the spartan IVs are going to be explained soon, And NOBLE team was comprised mostly of Spartan IIIs which we already know about.

True. However while we were aware of the existence of the Spartan III’s, no one knew that there was a possibility for any to be at Reach. Given that at the time we knew that the first two companies had been wiped out early on and that Gamma was still in training at the time of the attack.

So for me at least it was a surprise to learn that there was a whole team of adult spartan III’s who we knew nothing about at all running around reach. My point is that Bungie could have at least released a comic or book about them prior to the Games release so that there wasn’t this huge canon inconsistencies when the game released. Does that make sense?

I just would have preferred some back story rather than complete blanks you know?

By “anybody” do you mean the people on waypoint? Because we long suspected they were at reach and earth on bungie seeing as the program happens right after the spartan II program. There wasn’t any reason for them not to be at reach and there is no reason why they couldn’t have been at earth.

Yes, that was bad on bungie’s part. The again, 343 brings up soren knowing that he wasn’t going to be brought up in reach.

There aren’t any canon inconsistencies with NOBLE team things just don’t add up because bungie didn’t but effort in trying to make sense.

I meant people at the time referring ‘mostly’ to the guys on the Bungie forums. Yeah there was a lot of theories and stuff about where they were, heck I joined a couple of those debates. But it was just theory.

Despite it being logical for them or some of them the III"s to be at Earth/ Reach at that time. I just wished that Bungie actually took the time to confirm those theories and do it in a way that made sense. Reach in a way felt Random in terms of it’s execution and the characters of Noble team. I liked them, I just wished we “the Halo nation” had some time to get to know them like we have with Blue team and the II’s.

That’s what I meant by inconsistencies. That it didn’t add up.

I just hope such a fracas can be avoided with the IV’s. Also can some one explain to me what Thursday war is? is it Glasslands? Because I don’t remember reading anything called that in the book.

Yea i get you, halo started going downhill in bungies terms after halo 2.

Thursday war is just military training.
