So will the SPARTAN 1.1’s ever nake a comeback into the halo story? Like mabey set during the covenants assault on earth. Or some of them joining the SPARTAN-IV programme?

Are you talking about the ORION candidates? Remember that Johnson was 78 when he died in 2552.
And some of them seem to have gotten rough side effects from the project.
So it’s likely pretty much all of them were out of action by the time earth was attacked. Either kia, returement or unable to fight for over reasons.
But that being said, it would be pretty cool, and I’d love if they made more stories about them in any way.

No. The spartan 1.1 were the offspring of the SPARTAN-I (Orion) candidates.
There is a halo audio series called I Love Bee’s that explains them more.

Their canonicity is still rather dubious now as iheartbees was ARG.
However… If 1.1s are canon… Sergeant John Forge and/or Ron Forge could also be one… Nothing definite but there are some hints that either John or his father could have been an Orion candidate
