I have been enthralled with the February update. New gametypes, a new arena map, THE GRAVITY HAMMER :]]]]]]]. I love that weapon. There is nothing more nostalgic than listening to Space Jam playing anything that uses these weapons. But now that I think about it, would it suck in H5. I’m not complaining that I don’t want it, because it’s my favorite weapon. But think about it, what range will it have, how much damage will it do, with the thrusters will it be a viable weapon.
I can’t really find a way this could be balanced. Of its about the same as it was in past halo games it would be terrible because of H5s movement system. If it overadjusts to that, it would be a Hella top tier weapon. I guess this is why 343 took so long with it. But I just want to see this beast of a weapon in action
It sounds like they have been testing it pretty extensively so I’m hoping it comes out well balanced.
Depends on how it’s handled, if it’s like Halo 4’s hammer then it’s going to be pretty bad but if it’s anything like Halo Reach or 3’s hammer than this should be interesting since the H4 felt like it was designed wrong.
I hope you can still hammer rockets and nades away from you
Hammer as a core weapon has never worked well, and I’m mainly directing that at Halo 3. It was only comical, which is probably why Bungie left it in, even with it not being well received throughout the community. Grifball made it a popular weapon.
Maybe without the Halo 3 lunge it will be better, hmmmm.
Honestly, they probably have been trying to figure this out since somebody said,“Gravity Hammer”. It was probably pretty complicated to get it balanced. Plus, the Fist of Rukt is supposed to be even more powerful do they had to balance that too.
