Just wondering, from people who keep up with Halo 4 news like crazy baboons, is there any news on if the remaining 6 Halo rings will play a role in Halo 4?
The game is still named “Halo”, so I hope it means something significant other than just a brand name. I’d love to explore all the rings throughout the franchise, seeing as we’ve already covered two, and humans have discovered Installation 03 (which I expect to be the next Halo Chief heads to). Last we saw of them, they were all deactivated, so I’m curious to see how that plays out.
I really hope, that they’re not just referenced. Since the new Halo trilogy focuses more on Forerunners and Master Chief (as 343i has noted), I can see that being an excuse to keep the franchise named “Halo”, because Forerunners created the rings, thus they’re related.
If I spoke ignorantly, it’s because I don’t read the novels, I just get all my info off the Halo wiki while I’m in my search moods. Thanks.
Don;t wanna spoil if you end up reading the novels, but Primordium has some relevance to a Halo ring.
In my opinion, I think Chief will return to a Halo at one point or another.

I read a “little” bit on that, I just assumed it wasn’t humanities discovery, but just a Forerunner story so I lost interest in it since it happened thousands and thousands of years ago if that’s true. (I could be completely wrong!)
YES, their significance in "Halo"is very high, remember there are still many more rings left. And remember, the novel art of the Reclaimer Trilogy is concept art from the game and primordium shows a massive Halo with an on going battle in the background, so that means we will defiantly be back on a Halo again.
Nothing is certain at this point because SOME game studio which shall remain unnamed (343i) isn’t even throwing us a bone on the campaign so nobodycan’t answer tht questiofor you with absolute certainty. But it is my guess that they wll return at one pont. A galaxy threatenig species c mean 2 things, the Flood or some sort of Forerunner group gone berserk or something. In any case, this sounds like the Halo’s will play a role.
I remember in the “Halo from A to Z video” Frankie saying that there were still six Halo’s out there primed and ready to fire because we never “defused that fuse”.
I would be highly surprised if we didn’t see a Halo in the new trilogy.
It was said that all of the covers of Greg Bear’s Halo novels will feature Halo 4 concept art, meaning that the ring on front of Primordium is as well.
