I wish i could find that halo 4 art that one kid posted earlier today. All it had was “4” on it and he made a back cover for it and everything. It looked pretty cool.
I actually wanted to make a new thread on this.
The cover really needs to change. It looks so generic. The last thing Halo needs is to be generic (especially when it was partly to blame for future games to become generic).
Pretty much every other Halo cover wasn’t so generic in their display. We really need the art team to come up with something different.

Of course it’s going to change, that was just a place holder, the armour has changed since then, so keeping the current one would be inaccurate and would not portray the current game by the time of release.
Well, I don’t really see the point. I think it looks cool and it’s not like they expect you to freak out over it…

Doubt it it looks just like the Halo 3 cover except in a different pose different background and he isn’t holding a gun. Plus different armor so I guess it is kinda different but who cares this is a dumb topic.
Everything we have seen so far will most likely be drastically different from what the finished product actually looks like. Remember, Amazon just wanted people to pre-order, so they were given an early pic. I will probably be different in the end. Also remember that games in development almost always end up being different from what the early looks usually are. Though you never know.
Don’t worry, that picture is a placeholder.
I hope Microsoft’s marketing division comes out with something spectacular. Covers so far have been cliched and forgettable, with the exception of Gears 3, and that one only worked because the whole series is so cliched and OTT the style matched.
An outline of the Legendary Planet like OP suggested, or a darkened vista of Forerunner machinery, or something… just please, whoever’s in charge, be original.

That Cover looks simply amazing!! I hope the final cover will be something like that!
