do you think the flood will ever return ?

it’s been so long since we have seen the flood And I kind of have been feeling that the games have been missing something

The Flood actually returned in Halo Wars 2.

As far as them being a threat outside of the infestation on the Ark, I believe we will see them again.

We will most likely see The Flood coming back in future Halo video games. I still want to see a Halo Survival Horror video game where the story is about a small group of UNSC Marines or ODST Troopers trying to survive the Flood infestation.

There is speculation that they could show up in Halo: Infinite given the importance of Zeta Halo and some very interesting audio files released to us a couple of weeks ago.

I’m leaning heavily into the camp that they will make a comeback in Infinite in some form.

Same here. If they aren’t in the game on release I’m willing to bet that they will be at least teased and added as DLC later on.

I’m pretty confident with how big they are intending infinite to be that the flood will make a come back. And I’m hoping the next gen console and graphics will really capture the horror and grotesqueness that makes the flood what they are.
(Still has PTSD from the library :joy:)

I’d say never with absolute certainty, but I’ll wait until Infinite releases… If the Flood don’t show up in that game, then I’d say they are gone for good. We might get an obscure lore reference or something slightly more substantial, but if they don’t make a return in Infinite’s campaign then I’ll assume confidently that we will never see them in any significant capacity again.
