Will the enemy possibly capture Cortana?

Title says it all, do you think somehow at a point in the plot, Master Chief will lose Cortana, and the enemy will capture her, using her as bait for Master Chief possibly? What do you think? It sounds kinda ridiculous, but what do you think?

Certainly sounds like an original idea. I can’t recall that ever happening in this series.

I missed her in Halo 3, I want her back by my side. When I say “by my side” I mean in my head.

also, this could be a good thing as I debate every day whether i liked having her inside my head while playing…

Cortana =/= Peach/Zelda

Could be. The Covenant did try and get Cortana. In the book The Flood, Grunts jumped on Chief and tried to get his helmet off to get Cortana but failed. Gravemind was successful in H2 cause she stayed behind. It’s not a bad idea she would be captured but knowing the Chief he will not let that happen. He never loses and hates losing.

Nope. In Halo 4, much like Soviet Russia, Cortana loses Chief. She needs to upload herself to one of those giant mech armor platform thingys and go on a rescue mission. She has some weird hallucinations whenever walking down long hallways where Chief talks about their past, but eventually they are reunited, with Chief having learned something important about his enemy while in captivity.

I hope not. I missed Cortana in Halo 3 and I hope she is back in our head in full for Halo 4. That’s what made Halo CE and Halo 2 so great. Her narration.
