Will the DMR get a nerf?

I have been seeing lots of DMR nerf threads recently, I don’t see why, but that’s my opinion. What im asking is will 343I nerf it, what do you think?

There has been no word on any weapon balancing as of yet.

doubt it they don’t really care about what a vast majority of the community is complaining about.

I can’t imagine why it would get nerfed. It is perfectly balanced with the Battle Rifle.

Thanks, do you know if they are planning an update?

I hope, it needs it

> I can’t imagine why it would get nerfed. It is perfectly balanced with the Battle Rifle.

I’m hoping that was very subtle sarcasm.

No idea but as long as noobs keep picking Ragnarok i’ll keep using a DMR.

I feel a nerf is necessary, though I don’t see how it would be possible. In Halo Reach it was 5 headshots for a kill, and it’s the same in Halo 4. I think the only reason it’s being noticed as ‘over-powered’ now is because of the lack of bloom.

So far, the DMR is fine for now. The problem is the massive aim assist that makes the DMR easy to use. First, I’d tone down of the aim assist, and let’s see how it works after that.

Maybe a slight rate of fire nerf. Most likely buffs for other weapons. And they did say something about it, to be in the second title update I think.

I would also be interested in less aim assist.

I’m afraid that 343i testers really like to favore DMR. When 343i took over Reach, they overpowered DMR (which was already overpowered) beyond any logical measures. DMR in Halo 4 need some serious nerfing :frowning:

Instead of nerfing the DMR why don’t you just buff the BR a slight bit

Less aimbot for the DMR - you’re supposed to be a MARKSMAN to use it so thats how it needs to be, slightly less RoF as well.

I think the community needs nerfed.

who cares its still a DMR.

> Instead of nerfing the DMR why don’t you just buff the BR a slight bit

DMR and BR are not the only weapons in Halo 4. All other weapons (with except for Boltshot) are nicely balanced to BR, as it’s now.

Me thinks that switching the Halo 4 DMR with the Halo Reach DMR may solve the issue (bloom was 100x more noticable on the halo Reach DMR) and making the the RoF of the DMR about the same if not just a tiny bit less than the BR (it is after all a long range weapon it’s RoF shouldn’t be higher than that of a mid range weapon).

And before anyone asks, no i’m not a BR fan boy, i use Covenant Carbine for close/midrange maps and light rifle for big maps despite how op the DMR is.
